Freedom to roam.

From testing your grit along Sedona's puckering mesa trails to flowing down ribbons of forested singletrack in Vermont, the Yeti Men's Freeland Short delivers the freedom and flex desired by aggressive trail riders escaping to the hills. This relaxed-fitting trail short sits along the knee, allowing you to rock knee pads underneath or go sans on less-technical terrain. Zippered thigh vents disperse excess heat from sapping your riding output, plus there's a multitude of storage space in the large cargo pockets.

The Freeland Short features 2-way performance stretch fabric, conforming to your every pedal stroke without ripping or fraying when you take a nasty spill. It wicks moisture along the way, preventing overheating when you're slogging uphill on long climbs. Yeti then uses a DWR finish to repel dewy puddle splashes and oncoming rain showers from soaking through. It's then equipped with a rear-stretch panel for greater flexibility, which enables you to pedal swiftly down the trail and drop off the back on steep descents.

  • Freedom and flex desired by aggressive trail riders
  • Relaxed fit allows you to wear knee pads, if desired
  • 2-way performance stretch conforms to riding movements
  • DWR finish repels rain showers and outside moisture
  • Rear-stretch panel allows for fluid range of motion
  • Zippered thigh vents keep you cool and comfortable
  • Roomy cargo pockets for storing snacks and tools
  • Waist webbing adjusters for a slip-free fit

Do these shorts have a chamois in them? Wondering if they're padded.

No these shorts do not have a chamois in them nor come with a padded liner.

Great pair of mountain biking shorts

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Well made shorts. Light weight, nice material with lots of pockets (some with zippers) but nothing that sticks out to catch on branches. I like the sinch straps on the waist. I bought a large which the stated size is 35-37 but it is more like a 34-36 or 33-35 1/2. If you are a 37" waist I suggest you go with the xl.

Yeti cycles shorts are awesome!

I’ve been wearing these Yeti shorts paragliding and I love them! Waterproof and lightweight with enough pockets, not to mention I get lots of compliments!

Great shorts. Super comfy- pockets work great for pedaling and vents come in handy. Sharp looking too! Perfect companions for all day adventures ranging from xc to enduro shredding. Will buy another pair.

    Stoked on cargo pockets.

This is the first time in years I’ve sought out shorts with cargo pockets. I like to ride light, without a pack, and glad to have the extra pockets for tools, snacks, etc. Great material with a little stretch that makes these an awesome pair of mtb shorts. I’m 5’ 9”,155 lbs. and bought a pair in medium...I have a little room but like the fit for long trail rides.

I bought these in size 32/M for a 5'11'' male who weighs about 170lbs. He has taken it on some long all-day rides and thought they were comfortable. With the zip vents, these shorts are super breathable!

    Yeti Shorts

My son loved these shorts, the fit was great, and the pocket locations were good too.

      Quality and Comfort

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

High quality materials and design make for very comfortable shorts. The combination of fabric, fit and waist adjustment make these my new favorites. They seemed a bit long at first, but when in the saddle they sit perfectly just above my knee. Highly recommend!
