Compared to other WTB saddles, the Pure Race has a little more cushion for your pedal pushin', but it doesn't have a significant weight penalty as a result of the extra padding. With its Cro-Moly steel rails, the Pro weighs 297g, which isn't featherlight but won't slow you down on cross-country or all-mountain rides.
Its dropped nose and rising whale-tail back prevent short hang-ups and give you a platform to push against when you're climbing, and the Flex-Tuned shell blends suppleness and responsiveness so you have great feel without getting hammered to smithereens on rough trails. WTB also outfitted the Pure Pro with enough padding to keep your undercarriage comfortable, even on long-haul rides.
- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
just as i expected it to be, the saddle gives a more comfortable ride than my previous one. even at long rides, i felt less pain and discomfort this time. priced just right this saddle really is good.
You're a Dipsh!t if you buy anything but
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Super comfy, sleek, tough, durable, cost effective. I've spent double and triple the price of what this gem costs with not even half as good results with me wanting to tap out halfway through a trail ride due to saddle discomfort. You can session all day and the NEXT quite comfortably, which I can't say with other saddles that made me want to set fire to them after a full 25-30+ mile heavy off road ride. I will never buy anything but WTB saddles.
