Great Shirt — Not Very “Modern”

An original classic and well made wool flannel no doubt! However, it was far too boxy a fit despite the “modern” tailored description. I’m 6’1 205 w/a 35 waist and the L still required a bigger beer gut to avoid draping on me kind of sloppy like. Sorry to have to return.

    Thanks for the feedback!

    A true flannel

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Large

This is the thickest and warmest flannel I've ever owned. It is soft and cozy and the classic red / black really make you feel like a lumberjack. Despite the 'modern' fit it's still a little baggy around the waist but not bad.

    Fantastic Flannel

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This shirt quickly became one of my favorite flannels, being both stylish and also technical oriented. This has a great fit to it and is not to snug, and the feel against the skin is supremely supple. The fabric keeps you nice and warm, but also breathes exceptionally well when you start getting a bit to warm. I would say this is a medium-weight flannel. I have the blue checkered version and love the style and look. Over-all another great flannel that is going in the collection.

    Patrick-

Hello! How "tailored" is this shirt? I', 5'9" and 180 lbs and often find myself in between M and L, depending on the brand.

Any insight you could provide would be appreciated! Thanks!

    Ahhhhhhhhhh

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I wanted the wool Oxbow, but since it's over $100 I had to settle for the cotton. Not exactly a hardship, because this guy fits well--not baggy, but not skinny--and looks so good. I like it enough that I got it in both red and green.

    How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
    Chest:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
    Waist:
Bend to the side and measure around the place where your waist bends, keeping the tape a bit loose.
    Hip:
Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of the hip.
    Neck:
Measure around the base of the neck.
    Sleeve:
Have someone measure from the center of the back neck down the arm, with arm slightly bent, to the wrist bone.
    Inseam:
Measure from the crotch to the floor with no shoes.
