Proven protection, unrestricted flex.
Constructed with a cutting-edge Gore-Tex Stretch 2-layer waterproof and breathable laminate, the Volcom Men's Stretch Gore-Tex Pant delivers unsurpassed freedom of movement and legendary waterproofing for demanding alpine environments. Additionally, the fully sealed seams prevent moisture from seeping in.
Its V-Science breathable lining system and zippered inner-thigh vents facilitate the transfer and evaporation of built-up perspiration, especially when you're bootpacking beyond the resort and riding on warmer spring days. The Zip Tech jacket-to-pant interface seamlessly zips into compatible Volcom jackets, sealing out waist-deep powder from working inside the pants. Please note these pants feature a modern fit that's slimmer through the legs to reduce bulk, with articulation for maximum mobility.

- Q & A
These pants are great
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Large
Pants arrived just a couple days after purchase, and I went night-boarding that same evening. Heavy, wet snow and wind at Alpental. The pants kept me nice and dry, and the 'guide articulated' fit allowed plenty of room to move and flex. I was able to compress my legs in the air for grabs with greater ease than my last pair of pants, which was probably due to the 'stretch' gore-tex. The pants have a relatively 'soft' feel, and sitting on the chairlift I noticed that the pants had a kinda folds where the material was positioned. Very comfortable. The front pockets are not huge, not deep, so I don't think anything would get lost in there - if anything you might need to be careful about things falling out if you're positioned the wrong way - something to adapt-to a bit. I think with the semi-external nature of the pockets the design may help with the loose/flexible feeling of the pants. I thought the pants were great. They seem really sturdy and I'm betting they will last a long time.
I have a 34-36 inch waist (depending on brand) and the Large was a bit loose until I used the internal cinch-straps to tighten things up a bit (plus wore a belt). The legs are pretty long, and rested on my boot-tops...maybe were almost on the ground by my heels unless I had the belt holding the pants just-so. All that being said, I'm stoked on these! Thanks Volcom!
