Rubino Pro G2.0 Tubeless Tire delivers fast, reliable performance for long training miles

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I run the Rubino Pro G2.0s on my training wheels because they strike that balance between speed and durability. The Graphene compound rolls fast, corners confidently, and shrugs off debris that would flat lesser tires. They’re not the lightest, but for everyday miles and the occasional race, they’ve earned a spot on my bike."

The Vittoria Rubino Pro G2.0 Tubeless Tire blends long-wearing performance with modern tubeless technology for a smooth, efficient ride across miles of mixed road conditions. Vittoria’s 3C Graphene compound reduces rolling resistance while enhancing grip and durability, creating a tire that feels fast without sacrificing reliability.

With a supple 150 TPI nylon casing and subtle tread pattern, the Rubino Pro handles wet corners and coarse pavement with equal confidence. The tubeless-ready bead resists pinch flats and offers a more compliant ride feel, while compatibility with standard clinchers keeps setup flexible. Whether we’re logging winter base miles or toeing the line for a weekend race, this tire proves itself as a capable, all-conditions performer.

Tires Leave Marks All Over the Floor

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've been using Vittoria tires for almost 40 years and never came across this issue. Just placing the bike down on the tires leaves black residue all over the floor. And it's not because the tires are new. Low quality materials.

Tires out of round

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I mounted the new tires and found that they were out of round (had lumps). I figured they might be that way from being folded and they would smooth out with use. One of the two did (for the most part), but the one mounted on the front rim still hasn't after 50 miles of riding. I would say it was a manufacturing fluke if it hadn't happened on BOTH tires. Perhaps it's because they are tubeless tires and I'm running them with tubes? I spoke with someone from Backcountry who advised it should be no issue running them this way, similar to MTB tires.

Good feel on the road.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought two new Pinarello cycles and my wife wanted more of a road tire on her cycle, opposed to the racing tires that came with it. I ordered the folded Rubino Pro tires for the light tread pattern. We find the light tread pattern on the edges offers a more secure grip on the mixed surfaces of our routes. Interestingly, the .030 inch step on the mold-line is the deepest feature on the tire. The fit around the rim was firm and we like it.

Clincher masquerading as a Tubeless

Not even one star. Poorly designed and manufactured. The middle part of the tread is not bonded to the cords underneath and is so thin it tears on every ride. A small puncture caused the tread to bubble up all around the tire. Less than 500 miles and both tires were repaired multiple times and now useless.

Not as Durable as I Hoped

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This tire was a replacement for one that punctured a couple.of weeks ago. That one got a small hole in the tread area that the latex sealant (Stans) didn't seal. Riding this one I ran over something and then the noise or air and fluid escaping. This time a small hash in the sidewall that again the sealant would not seal. Both occasions needed a tube to get home. I guess if you ride pristine roads they are fine but for the debris potholed things we call roads here in San Diego tougher tires with tubes are probably needed.

bad

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

for some reason the 30mm Rubinos are MUCH wider than the 30mm Corsas, and don't fit on my bike (even though I think I could fit a 32 Corsa). Vittoria's quality control also seems to have gone way down recently and my two tires seem to be significantly different radii. One mounts easily and the other one is incredibly hard to go get on the rim.

Poor Tire Molding Quality Control

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just mounted the new 700x30 Rubinos on my Jamis adventure bike. When returning from a 30 mile spin I noticed that both tires have an issue with the molding process quality. The issue is apparently the two half's of the tire mold did not align accurately at the center line of the tire and were off set approximately 0.5 ~ 1.0 millimeters. This means that one side of the tire is higher or lower at 180 degree intervals, making the tire exhibit eccentric motion (wobbly) at higher speeds. I'll be contacting Competitive Cyclist to see is there is a manufacture's warren-tee for defects. There are good tires over-all and I will continue utilize Rubinos on my bikes provided Vittoria gets their manufacturing quality corrected.

Defective Tire

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These tires were easy to mount and set the bead using my air compressor. I inflated my tire and rode my bike around the block. The next morning when it was time to walk out the door for a ride, the tire was completely flat. I had 2+ oz of sealant in my tire. I pumped it up, filled up my sink with water, and immersed my wheel/tire in the water, only to see tiny air bubbles coming up from the sidewalls - all around the tire. Pulled the tire out of the water, and you could feel air coming out from the sidewalls. I don't know how this could happen apart from it being a manufacturing defect. This is not my first time mounting tubeless tires, and I'm returning these ASAP.
