A pound and some change.
Backcountry touring brings new meaning to the phrase "carry your weight." So when every ounce matters, count on the Vaude Scopi 32 Lightweight Backpack to carry your load efficiently and comfortably. Nixing superfluous bells and whistles, this minimalist alpine backpack is equipped with a rugged yet ultra-light ripstop exterior that's treated with a polyurethane coating to keep light precipitation at bay, while the V-shaped design encourages ample mobility while you're skinning or climbing. Unique to the Scopi 32 are its aluminum stays, hip belt, top compression strap, and back padding—all of which are removable, and the back padding doubles as a seat cushion when you're in camp. Additionally, this pack is hydration system compatible and is fully equipped with an internal zippered pocket, classic roll-top closure, and attachment points for ice tools or trekking poles. So whatever the adventure, the Scopi 32 steps up to the challenge with ease.

Sustainability Strategy: Vaude
The German mountain and bike sports outfitter VAUDE is pursuing a comprehensive sustainability strategy. This runs like a “green thread” through all segments of the company and shows how responsibility for people and for nature is systematically pursued at VAUDE. The goal is to create a balance between ecological, social and economic responsibility. “The expense that this involves is enormous. But we are convinced that it makes sense and is worthwhile in the long term,” said VAUDE CEO, Dr. Antje von Dewitz. In November 2015 VAUDE received the highest honors at the prestigious German Sustainability Award and was named “Germany's Most Sustainable Brand.”
