Trango Eurotape

Tape up and climb on.

The Trango Eurotape will quickly become your favorite tape for splinting tweaked tendons or fixing up your torn hand for some more crack mania. While most tape is made with cotton, Eurotape blends cotton with polyester, which makes this tape stronger and more durable so you can count on the tape sticking to you until you reach the chains. With a high thread count, not only will this tape not stretch, it'll also tear easily off the roll so you don't have to bring scissors with you to the crag or have annoying strands dangling off your fingers. With up to 37 feet of tape, you'll have this roll in Indian Creek for years to come.

THE climbing tape.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is the Gold standard for climbing tape, I wouldn't even know another brand because this is all I have ever needed.

All-time tape.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So I've been through a few different types of tape over the past few years and this Euro tape is the best. It sticks the best and wears the best. At the end of the day, it sticks so well that it hurts to get it off your skin. WOrks great, will never buy another brand.

Tape.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I dunno, bought this based on reviews. I don't climb that hard or recklessly to need having tape, but it patches holes in my puffy and I know it's there if I need. So, I guess it's crushing it then.

Do wish the cardboard tube was lighter though... or was like a rappel ring or something...

Awesome tape

Tape makes such a big difference. Great for supporting injuries and preventing your skin from being ripped off in that crack. Pick some of this up and you'll be happy you did!

Listen to the reviews!

They're not wrong. I always used Metolius tape in the past, and the stuff is wayyy better. Its better quality cloth, and stick much better and longer than Metolius tape. And it's so hard to find online, Backcountry is one of the few places you can get it! Pick up a few rolls today!

Highly prefer this tape over any other tape. The price is great and it's very comfortable on the hands,

    Tape Up

Seriously, if you don't have this tape, buy it. Or you won't make it to the top of that crack without major loss of skin.

    Gobie's be gone.

One thing's for sure about Eurotape, if I don't forget to bring it, I won't have any gobies on that trip.

      Affordable and durable

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm a huge fan of eurotape, I never seem to have sticking problems and it helps whenever I get a hell or finger hotspot that needs wrapped.

      Gets 'er Done

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I recently bought this roll of tape specifically for taping up on crack climbs. I liked the flexibility of the tape, it ripped easily enough with teeth and hand combo, yet remained resilient on the wall. I did have a wee bit of sticky residue to contend with after peeling off the tape, which is why I didn't give it the full five stars. I sure did appreciate it saving my hands from becoming ground meat though!

      Euro tape for the win

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Never thought i'd be a tape snob but after using this stuff, i will never go back to other climbing tape brands. The stuff is just stickier. I made a pair of tape gloves out of this stuff last season and after a year of abuse they are still in good condition. Treat yourself to something nice and buy the euro tape.

      Best Out There

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

At the end of the day, it's tape, right? Wrong! Some tape does the job better than others. This tape rocks. Very sticky, durable, and get's the job done. A must have for trad, but also for any other type of climbing.

      Use Less Tape

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Eurotape is super sticky, so you don't need to keep reapplying after every route. Tape up once and go crush.

      Best Tape I've Used

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Actually it's the only tape because it's cheap and I couldn't imagine better tape.

      Hands Down My Favorite

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

When it comes to tape, we all know how often times it will just peel off during the middle of a climb, ultimately ending in hurt fingers and wasted tape. With Euro tape, I find that as long as I tape properly, it will actually stay on through multiple climbs, something that I wasn't used to. Definitely my favorite tape overall as the stickiness can't be beat. If you're sick of bearing down hard on crimps and having the tape on your fingertips slowly pulling off, have no fear, Euro tape is here to save your climb!

      The One and Only

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The one and only tape to use. The stickiest of the icky!

      Best tape made

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Eurotape is the best tape made for climbing. I have never had it slip on my hands. I have used it to reinforce inferior tape. It doesn't leave a great deal of adhesive on your hands but sticks very well to almost anything, especially to itself

      Best Tape on the Market

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my tape of choice when it comes to crack climbing. Super sticky and holds up well for tape gloves. You can probably get 2 sets of gloves off one roll, depending on how big your hands are.

Like the previous reviewer stated it will leave sticky residue on your hands post climb. I have a pair of gloves that I made with this tape and have worn 10+ times and I still get the residue on my hands. It really just attest to the stickiness.

      The best

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The best cloth tape available. Every other brand pales in comparison to this stuff (i've used it all). The only downside is that after really hard jamming it can leave sticky residue that is hard to clean off, which is not ideal for long trips in the back country. Very much worth it though.
