    A simple rope tarp.

Trango designed its Cord Trapper Rope Tarp to keep your rope safe, clean, compact, and free from tangles while it's in your pack. Its simple design reduces weight, bulk, and price compared to rope bags. Just roll this tarp up, tighten the strap, and slide it into your pack for a clean and efficient way to get to the crag.

    Does the job

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

nice cheap rope tarp with convenient tie offs. Its just a good tarp, not much else to say.

just what I've been looking. for

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've been looking for a simple, compact rope bag and ground cloth. I want to be able to stuff it in my pack and not carry it. This is perfect!

    Great tarp

This tarp is great and keeps my rope clean and confined!

      great light no frills tarp

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

do you really wanna get another bag, to keep your rope in inside of your backpack?

You'll wonder why you went without.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My wife says this tarp is the MVP of her climbing bag contents. If you're moving from route to route or crag to crag, the two tie-in points keep your rope organized and packable without needing to coil and flake in between. It saves time, effort, and some much-needed space and weight in your pack.

      BUY IT!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you are like me and dont want to add another pack to your packs...lol buy it. Its pretty dang large and rolls up great with my 60m rope. Fits well in my 45l pack with all my other gear! must buy for the crag rags

      Light and simple

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This tarp is simple and light. Really good for when you don't need a full rope bag.

      Simple and works.

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Rolls up nice and tight with the strap around it. No need to buy a separate bag. Keeps rope clean and I don't need to re-flake the rope when we move to another route.

      Good rope tarp

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Simple design and works great, keeps rope clean and nice and neat.

      Do Your Rope a Favor

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a must-have for ANY desert climbing trip. It is almost inevitable that you will get sand on everything/everywhere, but this rope tarp will save the day, (and your rope) making your rope management at the crag much safer and easier.

I really needed one of these

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Since I started climbing, I had yet to purchase a real rope tarp. I had been laying my rope on my 70L backpack to keep the rope clean, but I failed miserably. Needless to say, my old rope is super dirty now, and I wasnt going to repeat that mistake again with my new rope. Since then I have been using the Trango Cord Trapper to keep my precious rope clean, and I now trust my rope even more now.

      Great rope tarp

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Keeps rope clean, rolls nicely with 2 tie offs for the ends of rope, and the outer strap keeps it nice and tight. Material has held up to some abuse and seems durable.

      Decent rope tarp

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a nice rope tarp, a serious upgrade from a basic tarp I was using prior! It is a nice tarp for throwing your rope in if you carry your rope to the crag in your backpack, also very nice for easy gym use.

      Rope Tarp

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Keeps the rope neat and no need for another bag.

      Just what I needed

Being a person who typically drapes the rope between the main compartment and brain sack of my backpack this thing is perfect. I really like that it's not a sack with a bunch of straps that get in the way. This is a simple product with a simple task that meets its design basis. Hope this helps

        Expectation, expected

          Works for exactly as needed

          Does the job

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased this tarp because I wanted a smaller and lighter option to the traditional rope bag. This tarp packs down really small and weighs almost nothing. I love the straps on it too which allow me to wrap my rope into it and cinch it down.

          Just enough

I got this for putting my rope in my crag bag. It keeps things more organized and the red and green loops are nice for managing ends (green is go, red is dead). It's large surface area keeps your rope out of the dirt, sand, water, pudding, etc.

            Well worth the money

            • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I just got into climbing and love this rope tarp.

            Good Stuff

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Packs a rope easily and easy to flake a rope on it. Just wish it was easier to carry around- if you don't have a bag to carry it in, it's like carrying a giant football to the crag. Does a great job though
