Great looking jacket, terrible fit

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

I was really exited about this jacket because I love the look and have been searching for something like it for awhile. Well, I tried two sizes and returned them both. The construction and material seemed very nice, but it fits like a poorly fitted tuxedo jacket, and is at least one size smaller than tagged. I am 5'8" 135 lbs, and usually buy medium jackets for the extra room. I bought this in medium and it fit like a slim small, enough room for a thin layer underneath and not more. And the cuffs, while a neat design, were almost to tight to snap (and I have fairly thin wrists). I exchanged for a large and that fit like a medium, and was a bit better. However, it did nothing to help the WORST part about the fit: the sleeves. They are possibly the worst articulated, most restrictive sleeves I've ever seen on a jacket. You can't even lift your arms above shoulder level without straining the fabric, causing massive ride up of the jacket and pulling on the sleeves . No mobility at all. Sorry, but that is a total fail for a "field jacket." If you are looking for just a fashion item, and you don't intend on lifting your arms much, this might work for you. If you want an actually functional jacket, look elsewhere.
