Bears won't be the only animals sleeping well this winter.

If anything, you have even more gear to lug in on a winter expedition than you do in the summer, so you'll be looking to save weight wherever possible. Turn to the Therm-a-Rest Women's ProLite Plus Sleeping Pad for warmth and comfort without excessive weight on your next hut-to-hut tour, winter camping trip, or cold-weather backpacking adventure. The innovative self-inflating design is reinforced with diagonal cut foam that reduces convective heat loss so you're not shivering while the guys are snoring. The Prolite Plus rolls up small in the included stuff sack to fit right in your pack, and it will self inflate so you can save your breath for the next day's hike.

    Lightweight, and easy to transport

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This was a perfect little sleeping pad for me to use on a two day car camp out.
    It practically self inflated
I've had more comfortable mats, but this did the trick for the weekend.

    Advertised R value

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Just thought I'd note the R value on the mattress received was 4.2, not 4.6.

Haven't used it yet, as it's a Christmas present for the gf. But it is lightweight for a self inflating pad, and came rolled up fairly small.

    Comfortable and Compact

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I previously had a large rectangular pad that was fine for car camping, but was incredibly unwieldy for backpacking. I've been very happy with this pad as it allows me to sleep on my side without my hip touching the ground, you just have to make sure you've inflated it all the way. It packs down nicely and comes with a stuff sack to hold it.

    Awesome review, Ariana!

    Solid Pad

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I use my pro-lite plus pad on all my backpacking trips. It's a great pad and keeps me warm on cold nights. After a long day of hiking the last thing you want to do is blow up your pad. The self-inflating pads are SO much easier to inflate and I highly recommend this one!

    Great Value

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought this for my girlfriend's first backpacking trip last year, and have gotten nothing but praise. It's not the lightest pad out there, but it's comfortable and super bomber. Packs up decently well, and for the price I feel provides a good value. Compared to the Neo-Air it's going to be a little quieter, heavier, but also a decent chunk of change less expensive. If you aren't counting ounces - this is a great do it all pad. GF is 5'2 and loved the regular.

    it's the cats meow!!!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I purchased this product for my wife and she has been super happy. If you're a taller female go for the men's size because this mattress is max'ed at about 5'5". The R-value and weight make this a great b-packer choice for the lady's according to my wife in the often temperate climates of the PNW; Snow camping is a different story and will update in the future with the results. Btw backcountry.com has been lightning fast with shipping and transactions. I don't work for the company and have ordered many things, these guys rock!!!!!!! Set your gear up right and repair kit not essential...

    Rara Lake Trek

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Used it for a 75 mile trek in Nepal. It did its job, but I was wrong for getting the long. But overall, it kept me warm on cold nights. Would definitely use again but in a regular size.

Just curious how tall you are. Looking for my friend who is 5'4-5'5. Do you think it would work?
