    Luxury Map Sleeping Pad

If you spend nights in the outdoors tossing and turning instead of sleeping, the Therm-a-Rest Luxury Map Sleeping pad was designed with you in mind. The advanced pressure-mapping technology uses high and low density foams to provide support where you need it most and eliminate pressure points, ultimately allowing for a more restful sleep. Plus, the three inches of cushion and an exceptionally high thermal rating make this pad a perfect choice for any season of the year.

    • Luxurious sleeping pad gives a glorious night sleeping while camping
    • Soft, stretchy surface with pressure-mapping foam for extra loft
    • Self-inflating valve eases setting up and packing down
    • Stuff sack included

Balance of cushy comfort and lightness.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Like most comfy sleeping pads, this one provides undisturbed sleeps while camping. Unlike most comfy ones, this one is lighter and smaller than most for easier carrying to and from the car. It's not small and light enough for backpacking, but it's just right for camping.

    Great all-season mat!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been using this mat for two seasons now. I've used it in both summer and Winter conditions. I like the 5.8 R-value rating which keeps me warm in colder temps throughout the late Fall, Winter and early Spring. This mat holds its air very well and doesn't lose much air when temps dip down real low. It boasts that it is self-inflating, and like most self-inflating mats I've tried, doesn't really inflate well on its own. You do still need to mouth blow about 8-10 breaths for maximal loft. I have used this mat in the backcountry as well; I strapped it to the back of my pack and it worked well but was a bit cumbersome and heavy for backpacking. This is my go to mat for weekend car camping trips and where there is an extended stay on a single site. The quality is very good and the mat has really held up through over 60+ nights of use in the past two years. I recommend this mat!

    satisfies this camping princess

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this on top of an egg crate pad in the back of my Tacoma, and good lord, it's comfy! I'm very fussy about sleeping comfort, and this pad does not disappoint. Easy to inflate/deflate. Has lost ability to hold air, needs to be topped off each night, but lovely!

    Total upgrade

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Finally upgraded to one of these and so happy with my decision. The 3inch in thickness makes such a difference and fits perfectly in my Big Agnes Hog park sleeping bag. So happy with this purchase

    See Below

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

But Really. I mean this many 5 star reviews can't be wrong, and they aren't. Another incredible addition to the car camping kit. Packs down small enough, fits in the car, but is huge! I am 6'5 220lbs and there was plenty of room on all sides for me to splay out. Also, 3 inches of air / foam is so comfortable. I am a side sleeper and my hips and shoulders didn't come anywhere near the ground. Honestly, one of the best pads I have ever used, very comparable to a decent house mattress.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Super comfy and i like the sizing. I'm very pleased

    Take this over other "heavy's"

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

As nice as the stiffer-waterproof pads are, the Therm-a-Rest has them beat. They are not quite as durable, but definitely lighter and give better comfort and sleepablility when looking for a wide and Glamping type of pad..

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

So great after using 3/4 length trail scout for years. This is better than our nice new bed.

    great sleeping pad

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

great comfort. Airs up easily with just a few breaths. Good for a side sleeper like me.

    Luxury Car Camping Goodness

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've spent 100+ days camping on this pad and it's one of the best investments I've made. The quality of sleep I get on this is unbelievable.

I wouldn't take this in the backcountry, but when car camping and weight/size don't matter spring for this over the basecamp model. I'd recommend a Large over a Regular size for the additional room so you don't hang off the pad. The fabric is burly and I often camp without a tent. The pad has held up like a champ.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

As per others who reviewed this pad, it is big and not super lightweight, but it is very comfortable. More comfortable than any other pad I’ve used. Glad I bought it.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

If you are car camping or if you don't need to carry this pad too far, then look no further. I've used many types of Therm-a-Rest pads for backpacking, alpine climbing and adventuring and they serve their intended need. However, this pad is in another class, it is pure luxury. I've never slept so well while camping, they are amazing pads.

    So Comfortable

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I haven't used this camping yet but it's been very comfortable on the test run on my floor. I have an older Dreamtime and used the Map to replace the Neoair in the Dreamtime. A great combination - better by far than the Neoair. Even better than my bed at home.

    Best Night Sleep!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

For all you minimalists out there. Who needs a bed when you have a Luxury Pad. Works great for our tiny home getaway as our main crash pad. Get two and make an amazing twin bed.

    Not wide enough for me

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I need a wider pad. I sleep on both my side, centered on the mat, then roll to my back, falling half off the pad. This kept waking me.

I was able to inflate it enough to be comfortable on the side, but it began to feel like a balloon. Again, just me.

My sleeping bag is a bit slippery, and would slide off the pad.

I'm going with something 30" wide (maybe Klymit) give how much I turn.

I am short, but a bit overweight, so I don't care about the length. I'm also car camping solo in a 2person, so size is not an issue.

Tip: you need not be strong to repack it. start with a 3" fold at the bottom, kneel on it, press your hands also agains the fold. Quickly turn , then repeat. I can compress it smaller than the sack, so I've not had any problem.

Othewise, nice bag, at a competitive price, but I have to return it for a wider one.

    Therm-a-Rest Luxury Map Sleeping Pad

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Really cozy. I replaced a similar Therm-a-Rest pad that I used for car camping from over a decade ago with this. Honestly, the design hasn't changed much, but the new one is much thicker and warmer, while packing down to a similar size. I haven't had it long, but I'm expecting it to be super durable like the previous one.

    I was so hoping

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

truly a camping pad, also felt it would be super comfy, but my body said no, 5'5 & weigh 148 pds

care to sell it to Me ???

If you are interested sell it to me 631 581-4141

    Great nights sleep

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Ive been looking for pads for the bed of my truck (Tacoma 6 ft bed) and two of these regular size pads is the perfect fit. It's the exact length of the bed and there's an inch on either side of the wheel wells. Super comfortable for side sleeping too.

    Car Camping Luxury

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I definitely wouldn't consider this pad for backpacking since its' bulky and heavy. But boy this is unbelievably comfortable in a tent or truck! The foam wrapped around the air cell is almost like sleeping on a Backcountry Tempurpedic. The price is a bit steep but it's self inflating and a luxurious night's rest.
