Perfect for everyday

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

This is a really nice sweater, going casual. going to the gym or just for home this sweater is excellent

Beautiful, warm, comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: small

I'm 5'5", size 2 jeans, ~ 125-130 lbs, generally wear a small in tops. This small fits perfectly. It's close, but not tight at all, which is perfect for a base or mid-layer that's supposed to keep you warm. It does seem to wick sweat well and dry quickly. I've worn it on high-elevation winter treks, and it's a great baselayer. I wear it on my way to the gym in Denver winters, and it's great to keep warm before and after. I wear it to my office job (we're a nonprofit environmental, so we can get away with being outdoorsy, if we do it right), and it looks great with nice cords, boots and a scarf. I got the purple eggplant color and I love it.

Can this function as a midlayer over underarmour for those really cold ski days?

Pretty comfortable!

My wife uses to go to the gym in the nights it keeps her warm, sometimes she uses it as a sweater or to go running on mornings. She has a couple of these she really likes them.

Keeps you warm

I bought this for my wife during one of the worst cold snaps of this winter season. She was able to wear this under her regular clothing and head off to work. No need for a jacket. She stayed nice and toasty her entire 12 hour shift.

Runs Very Small

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This baselayer feels great but it's very small. I'm a size 12 (L top) and had to return the L for an XL. The L was VERY tight. Seems like everything The North Face runs small. The material was great though and it looks like a quality item.
