My favorite go to jacket

Best all-around
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this jacket for about 2yrs now. It still looks relatively new. A fleece or down would look beat by now, especially since I wear this often and on my most demanding adventures. Light like a down but tougher and warm when wet. Also dries out very quickly unlike down. Lighter than fleece and 100% wind proof as far as I can tell. For a insulation layer in the rainy pacific northwest I'd say its about perfect. It is warmer than it looks, I wouldn't get it for running but for skiing, backpacking, cold stuff, it will keep you comfortable from 50-30deg. I like the jacket version because you can put it under a shell easily without a another hood to complicate things. Well done Northface.
