Weird fit for me, but otherwise cool

The boots were pretty comfortable with a soft lining and the sole seemed cushiony. I'm usually a 9 in shoes and these ran a little small but the next size up would be too large; felt similar to how other North Face boots have fit. I returned these because they looked awkward/weird on me. I have pretty bony/narrow heels and ankles, so to be able to walk in them without my heel lifting up and coming out of the boot, I really had to tie them tightly, which made them look funny because the top of the boot then plumed/spread back out. I've had boots where that was the intended design and it looked cool, but I don't think that was intended here so it just didn't look right.

I sized up a whole size like it suggested and they fit like a dream. Read some other reviews that the fit was odd, but I love them.

These boots seem like they would be perfect if it didn't feel like I was trying to wear a boot that was a full size too small. I will try a size up.
