On brisk spring mornings and cool evenings, reach for The North Face Men's Progressor Insulated Hybrid Hooded Jacket to stay warm without overheating on the wall. Synthetic insulation holds heat close to your body but breathes consistently, even when you break a sweat. A DWR treatment repels water in case a light shower passes through while you're belaying, while the stretchy sleeves allow for a full range of motion when you're reaching for high holds.

- Q & A
Solid layered jacket
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: large
I bought this as a multi-use jacket, including mid layer for skiing and lighter jacket for hiking in the winter. Works great in all conditions. The hood fits snug to your head and it zips up high, but that has been ideal on colder days. The stretchy material on the sides provides great range of motion. I like this jacket so much that I have started wearing it as a casual jacket as well. Size is true to fit. Strongly suggest to someone looking for a light multi-use jacket.
Awesome layer jacket
I purchased this to wear under my shell while skiing. It's super lightweight and very comfortable. I have ended up wearing this around instead of my fleece. It has a build in balaclava if you want to use it that way. When zipped up it goes pretty high up your chin to block the wind when going up the lift which I really like about the jacket. I like it fitted and I normally wear a medium but purchased a small and it's just right. In fact the sleeves would probably be long if I had purchased a medium. In a super cold day I'll probably wear a thin down under my shell but most other days this jacket will be under my shell.
