Freedom Insulated Pant delivers waterproof warmth for cold, stormy resort laps

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

“These pants are a resort essential—waterproof, durable, and warm enough for the coldest lift rides. The fit is super comfortable, and the vents help when I’m hiking or riding hard. They’re the definition of dependable.”

When the snow is dumping and the lifts are spinning, The North Face Freedom Insulated Pant keeps us chasing powder without feeling the chill. The waterproof DryVent 2-layer shell blocks out snow and slush while letting moisture escape, keeping us dry through long chairlift rides and deep turns.

Lightweight Heatseeker Eco insulation traps warmth without adding bulk, and the articulated knees move naturally as we carve down steep lines. When things heat up, inner thigh vents and the Chimney Venting system release excess heat. StretchVent gaiters keep snow out of boots, and reinforced kickpatches protect against sharp ski edges. From first tracks to après, these pants are built to handle storm days in comfort and style.

Would not buy again

Did not like the fabric. I have 2 of this style from a few years ago that I love and still wear.

Warm pants

Warm pants. Wish they were higher waisted. My shirt became untucked. Also for me tight in the hips. But overall I'm happy

Sizing is off

The pants feel like they're great quality but the sizing is weird. My usual size (across many brands) was too tight and short even without a base layer underneath, so I exchanged for a bigger size, but now they're too loose even with a base layer underneath. And I did follow the measurements in the Size Guide but it did not work. I won't have time to exchange them again so I will keep them, but there is definitely something off because I have never struggled to find ski pants that fit before.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE

I'm a big time commuter to work using a e-bike and these keep me warm and dry free. Though these are for skiing/snow boarding activities I can assure you they are more of use than that!!

Warm and Resistant

Great to stay outside in the cold for long periods of time. It retains your body heat well. Easy to move around and bend knees for sports. Nice, rich black color.

Great snowpant

North Face snowpants (jackets, hats, gloves/mittens) are items we have bought for our daughter over and over as she grows. Great quality and warm enough for cold winter activities in Minnesota. Always happy with these purchases.
