Teva De La Vina Dos Chelsea Boot

I love these shoes! They are cute and comfortable. I enjoy that they are waterproof because they are good for casual wear, but hold up in the rain and snow. These have been my everyday shoe so far this winter.

New de la vina!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 9

I've been wearing the Teva de la Vina for a few years, getting a new pair every year or so. This feels the same, but [much] lighter weight, a bit sleeker, a different tread pattern, and the new Chelsea style.

Pros:
-More color options. I ordered the Redwood-- it's more of a dark pink. The gore is brownish/black and could go with either.
-Lighter weight.
-The Chelsea fit is snug but easy to get on. Much quicker than the zipper on my old low model.
-Still waterproof. I'm curious about the gore panel-- I don't think it will hold out any real water, but would be fine for puddles.
-Same cushy and moderately flat Teva sole.
-Ankle is a good height that will work well with several different pant styles.
-New tread pattern. It felt a little different on the outsides of my feet, but looks like it will do well. My old models did great in slick conditions, so I'm excited to see how well this does.

Cons:
-Same old round toe. This makes the show look a little more masculine than it needs to. It also adds unnecessary bulk. Teva: would it kill you to use just a slight almond toe? That might push it over the edge and make then shoe more office appropriate...
-The red is more pink than red. Shame, but it'll do.
-The sole seems to be a bit thinner. This probably lightened the show up, but it does remove a *tad* bit of the cushion and longevity.
