Setting a new standard in snow safety.
When it comes to protecting your brain, there's no such thing as going overboard. Sweet Protection took their already extremely safe Blaster helmet and added revolutionary MIPS technology to make it even safer. The Sweet Protection Blaster MIPS Helmet offers the latest in impact protection technology to keep your brain safer than ever while still providing a lightweight feel and low-profile look.
The Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) allows a small rotation of the outer shell relative to the liner when your head hits at an angle in order to decrease rotational forces, reducing potential damage to your brain. In-Mold construction fuses a thin polycarbonate shell to EPS foam to keep weight and bulk to a minimum without sacrificing safety, and ABS side panels offer extra protection in high-impact areas. Integrated Impact Shields take things a step further through optimized geometry that distributes impacts over a larger surface area in order to decrease damage.
The OcciGrip adjustment system ensures a snug and secure, yet comfortable fit. Multiple vents channel airflow through the helmet to keep your head cool on leg-burning runs, while a quick-drying, moisture-wicking liner rids the helmet of heat-robbing moisture so you don't freeze when you're sitting on the lift. When temps rise in the spring, you can pop off the removable ear pads for warm weather comfort.

- Q & A
Although the Blaster runs a little small, I especially like the more rounded style which, being more in line with the shape of a race helmet, allows goggles to stay put on the front and not want to slide back as is the case with more sloping helmets. Unlike a previous reviewer, I found it to be very comfortable and well-priced for a MIPS helmet.
nice helmet but uncomfortable
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
My wife loved the helmet fit overall however the sides have something that protrudes through the inner layer and into the scalp. After a minute it actually hurt. Tried to put extra layer of the foam inserts but it did not help. Had to send it back,
