This lightweight back protector uses a shock-absorbing core supplemented by molded EVA for stability, and 3D mesh covers the back and front for breathable ventilation and free-moving convenience.

- Q & A
Buy it, back injuries suck!!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Hey all, I bought this back protector after injuring my back snowboarding two months ago, and finally was able to get back on the board this week. After some research and calling a bunch of shops within 3 hours I was finally able to see this one and the POC protector side by side and ultimately went with this one because it was much thinner and more comfortable. Since I wear a backpack while snowboarding I knew I would never wear the much bulkier back protector. Another selling point between this one and others is unlike the US (from what I could tell) Europe actually has safety standards on these items that both Sweet and Poc meet. I now wear this while on my motorcycle and intend to mountain bike with it as well.
I would recommend it for sure! Hope this helps.

I am an Intermediate skier and stay on piste. I wanted to get some added protection and was concerned that a back protector would be annoying and uncomfortable. After wearing this on two ski trips, I can say with confidence that this is comfortable and it helps keep warmth in (bonus!). I don't even notice that it's on.
I haven't tried any other brands though.
