Weatherproof construction and cozy Harris Tweed make the Stormy Kromer Mercantile Harris Tweed Waxed Cotton Cap perfect for soggy spring mornings and frosty duck hunts. The paraffin wax-treated fabric repels water, and the pull-down earband offers a warm respite for your ears.
Hand-woven on the rocky, barren islands off the coast of Scotland, Harris Tweed is a known and lauded throughout the world. The only fabric in the world protected by an act of Parliment, Harris Tweed must be made with 100% pure virgin wool, dyed, spun, and finished in the Outer Hebrides and woven by the islanders in their homes on the Islands of Lewis, Harris, Uist, and Barra. This cap combines the history and tradition of two fine brands from either side of the Atlantic.

HOW DO I CALCULATE MY CAP SIZE?
To get your size, measure comfortably around your head where your cap will sit, with a tape measure. Take that number in inches, divide by 3.14 (pi) and round up to the nearest eighth. This is your cap size. See the chart for size conversions.
WAXED HARRIS TWEED COTTON CAP
This three-season, water-repelling wax cotton hat will be your new favorite garment for work or play, chilly mornings or wet afternoons, and is a stylish alternative to our Original Cap. The new, authentic Harris Tweed accents will only make it more so.
HOW TO USE EARFLAPS
You might not need instructions to wear your Stormy Kromer masterpiece, but there is a right way and a wrong way. The right way involves putting the cap on your head, grabbing the ear band on both sides and pulling down. There’s no unfolding or flipping, and you don’t have to take your cap off. Just pull down and settle in.
