Stoic Stretch Insulated Parka is a WIN

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: S

I'm super happy with this parka in my regular size. I initially ordered up to a M based on other reviews but had to return for my usual S. I am 5'2/120. The return/exchange process was a little tedious, but getting a decent coat at this price point was worth it. I'll be looking for more Stoic items in the future.

    Stoic stretch parka

I really liked this item. I ordered a medium and it was too tight around the hips. It doesn't feel waterproof but it was relatively light weight, could stuff it in a backpack in a pinch. Ended up giving it to my sister and she loves it.

      Light-weight & warm

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: S & M

Based on the reviews, I ordered a size up... I'm usually a small, so I got a medium. Was immediately confused at why everyone said it runs small. A medium fit like a medium to me. Exchanged it for a small. Fits great and plenty of room for a sweater under it, if needed. I'm not a busty or curvy person so maybe that's why. It kept me plenty warm on a couple 20 degree days in Alaska. Probably wouldn't recommend it for warmth to anyone that's going to be outside for a long while in colder weather.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: Runs small
      • Size Bought: Large

After buying and returning several other jackets of different brands for fitting issues, I ordered this one and its so comfortable.
I usually wear mediums in everything but a large seems to be perfect for layering. I think the medium would have been too small.
The other brands/types of jackets made my arms feel restricted, like I couldn't lift my arms all the way up without Straining the fabric OR if I sized up it would feel like I was swimming in an oversized coat. The inside of this one is soft and the outer material makes a quieter sound than the crinkle of a normal insulated coat. It is moderately warm, which is perfect for layering without getting too hot.

      Nice Coat

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs small
      • Size Bought: m

I ordered this coat and another one, I ended up returning this one. It's a nice coat and I like it, not bulky but ran a bit small through the bust. The Henna color was really nice as well. I would recommend it but the other one I ordered fit a bit better.

      Warm lightweight coat

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: Runs small

I got this to travel with and love it so far. Very warm but not bulky like most winter jackets. I did size up one size so there would be room for some extra layers and am so glad I did!

Does this pack down for traveling? And curious what how small it ran. Would you say size up from normal size if you want to wear a sweater or more layers than that? Thanks.

        Garment Sizing:
Stoic gear refers to the size of the person for measurements, so take your own measurements to determine what size you should buy.
        Sizing Notes:
The Women's cotton tees run small especially for larger busts. We suggest ordering a size up.
        How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
Measure from the center of your back to your wrist with arms held out.
