Runs large.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

The material is awesome thick and soft. The overall fit, however, is a little large but I've come to recognize that with Stoic. The brand is truly the best bang for your buck when it comes to quality but if you are looking for a more modern cut or fit look elsewhere. Overall this is a shit that can take a beating at a price that doesn't break the bank.

Great shirt for the price

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Nice material but runs a little large so I recommend sizing down if you want a regular fit.

Unbeatable Value

I love the Stoic stuff for their unbeatable value. If you're willing to do a little compromising on a perfect fit then these are a great option. They tend to fit a little odd; this one for example is very roomy in the arms, shoulders and chest then tapers quite bit toward the base of the shirt. If you're jacked up top like an ultimate triangle with an average waistline, this is a great fit. For the rest of us, it's a great shirt that you can afford to scrape, stain, ding and tear up without it ruining your day because you didn't drop $120 on this very nice, pretty good fitting chamy shirt.
Would buy again. Does run +1 size larger.

I love this shirt. thick chamois material is warm, soft & looks pretty stylish, IMO.

Solid heavyweight shirt!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

The Stoic heavyweight chamois shirt is a great choice if you're looking for a heavy duty shirt during the winter. Quality material, awesome color choices, I would say this runs just a touch large, but not large enough for me to go up a size.

Runs Large

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large

Awesome flannel, at a good price, though runs very large. Usually I wear size large, but this ended up being too big in large for me, so I returned it. I would go down a size when purchasing this item. Most likely getting a size medium in the near future, as the flannel is great!

Dad's New Favorite Shirt

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

Got this for my Dad for Christmas and he loves it. He's pretty picky about clothes so I was pretty happy about that. It is a little heavier than most flannels but its a longish and somewhat baggy cut so that's the style he likes.

New favorite

This is a great shirt, just a touch heavier/warmer than my beloved Patagonia Fjords, but far more reasonably priced.

The length was a little off to me, felt/looked more like 29" than the stated 27.5", so I gambled and decided to wash it warm, machine dry on low, and it shrunk just enough that I would call it perfect. Taller/long torso guys may fit better straight away. The hem is a very slight drop-tail as opposed to the boxier Patagonia Fjord's. I still wear it untucked and think it looks fine.

The burgundy color is perfect. I may grab the slate blue version.

My Favorite Flannel

The quality is great, it looks awesome and the fit is spot on. Whether you are on the trail or walking the streets this flannel fits right in. Its a good spring fall weight that isn't overly heavy or super light. I'm 6'2" 175lbs and I picked up the large. The sleeves are the right length and it doesn't feel like im swimming in it.

    Hi Wesley,

how do you feel about the length of the shirt? I'm 6'1" and I often feel a lot of these shirts are a bit boxy, aka could be longer on the back and the sleeves and less bulk around the waist. Hasn't been leaving you back exposed? I've been happy with the length of Patagonia Fjord flannels for example. Would be great to get your 2 cents on this. Also, does the chamois material feel pretty sturdy to you?

Hey Mika thanks for reaching out. So the cut on this guy is a little boxy like many flannels are but not so much that as a skinny guy you feel like you are swimming in it. The sleeve length and back length are great for longer arms and longer torsos as well. And as far as the material goes I think it feel really durable but still very soft. It reminds me of the Carhartt flannels my dad always wears. IF you have any other questions feel free to call me or email me!
