SRAM PC 1 Chain - Single Speed

Chain not intended for friendship bracelets.

Keep your townie, fixed gear or single-speed running smooth and reliably with the SRAM PC-1 Chain. Durable steel construction handles your massive wattage when you sprint the beach cruiser to the store for another six-pack. The PC-1 also uses SRAM's Powerlock Link so connecting the chain is so easy you might just decide to make friendship bracelets instead or riding your bike—which may not a good thing. No matter how cool you think friendship bracelets are, they aren't as cool as riding your bike.

I use this chain!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this chain and Have no issues with it. I push a decently hard gear and am standing up struggling ALOT and feel confident that It's not going to fail and send my man bits crashing into the top tube or stem!

Does its job

Put this chain on my single speed recently. It runs super smooth, haven't had any issues. All you need is a chain tool, and it's really easy to install. I'd definitely recommend it.

Smooth Like Silk

Had to get a new chain for my single speed. Went with SRAM because I love their components. It's an easy install for a smooth ride. Can't beat the price either. Good chain, good price, great ride.

      good chain for its price

Yep It's A Single Speed Chain

        Cheap and works.

        Cheap single speed

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Used this to complete a single speed build. Seems like an okay chain. The quick link was a little difficult to install.

        High quality chain for fixies

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased this as a replacement chain for my commuter and it works fine and as advertised. No issues at all.

is this chain 1/8" or 3/16"?

        Works in a pinch

This chain is a cheap basic singlespeed chain. It has worked for me in the past as an emergency chain (brand new bike and the chain I want is on back order or in transit), but not a daily chain. I use a half-link as my daily chain. I broke quite a few links on this chain and as a previous reviewer mentioned, it stretches quite a bit too.

It works, but not the best singlespeed chain out there

          good cheap chain

for the price this chain is awesome. that being said i would look elsewhere if constantly break chains as these do tend to break a lot

            Not really that rad.

My experience with this chain has been filled with breakage and stretch. The price is hard to beat and they are easy to come by, but I would recommend something more.
