Great boots, but be aware they run small

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Size Bought: 9

Really nice boots, but they run really small. I bought another Sorel size 8, which is my size on most shoes, and they were perfect. But these ones were too small. I had to return them and buy them again in size 9 just to be sure. You should at least buy them half a size bigger.

Good, but not great

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 8

They are stylish, and don't feel like you are walking around with dinosaur feet. They mostly keep my feet warm, except when I went to Lappland, where it was usually -20C at least, with lots of snow. I haven't had a problem with moisture, just with extreme temperatures. Normally a US-W 8 is slightly too big for me, but the 8 fits with wool socks, albeit with not much room for toes to wiggle, but not uncomfortably small. I like how they are very easy to lace up. I have slipped on ice a few times, though not fallen: they have adequate traction for everyday purposes. Overall, good purchase for the price.

Thought I might add, I have fairly narrow feet, and they worked for me.

Cutest Boots Ever!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 6.5

I bought these as a gift for a friend, but I plan on getting a pair of my own. They are actually the cutest Sorels I've ever seen in real life. My friend is a 6.5 and they fit perfectly, we did try them on in a store first and went with her true size. They are very light and slim for Sorels which is something we both love, after going from the big chunky snow boots these are actually a blessing. They are still so warm and cozy despite the light weight and they keep her feet dry in the snow. I definitely recommend these boots for anyone who wants cute and practical boots for winter.

Cute, lightweight boots

I wanted something to wear on cold or days with only a few inches of snow and not have to wear my bigger, taller snow boots. Something in between a casual boot and snow boot and these fit the bill. I got the black with pale gold. The accents are a bit shiny but not obnoxiously so. They are really cute! But they really are narrow. I don't have a wide foot and these just barely fit at a half size larger than I normally wear. It's not that the boot is short, it's that it's narrow and so your big toe can touch the curve of the toe of the boot. I won't be able to wear too thick of a sock but I never planned to. These are to throw on for running errands taking the dogs out. But I don't plan on doing any real heavy duty snow excursions, so a light sock will be fine for me. I tried them on barefoot and they are soft enough and warm that way. I ordered up a half size. I wear a 7.5 and went with an 8. There is about 3/4" extra length at the toe but because of the narrow toe box, I can feel my big toe touch the side of the boot. It's not uncomfortable and with the wool felt upper of the boot, they may stretch some with wear. I'm glad I got them but you may have to try a few sizes to get the right fit. Thanks to reviews, I think I'll be fine with the half size up.

    Very Warm & Comfy!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 9

I needed a pair of very warm snow boots because I attended an outdoor winter festival, and these kept my feet warm (with a pair of smartwool socks) for 6+ hours outside. The temperature was in the high 20s-low 30s. We hiked through snow and my feet weren't wet at all. I have also used them many times to shovel snow in the driveway and they continue to be warm and comfortable. I typically wear a size 8.5 and ordered a 9 based on reviews saying they run short. The 9 fits well, but if you have wide feet, these may be a bit narrow.

You need to try them on in a store 1st

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 9.5

This boot is runs short, narrow and doesn’t have any support for your arch. I would have benefited from going to a store for proper fit before making an online purchase. Overall, this is a beautiful boot but not for me. The suggestion to order a size larger would give me a longer shoe but make for a sloppy fit.

Beware, Runs Small and Narrow toe box

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 10.5

These are great boots, very light and nice color. That is the good
news. I ordered one complete size up and these boots were still short and I would not be able to wear a thicker sock. There is no arch support to speak of and the toe box is very narrow. I have a narrow foot but had some surgery this summer so my right foot
is a little wider now but NOT overly so because I can wear most of my other shoes but my toes were uncomfortable in these. Too bad as these were just what I wanted. Sizing up would make these slip in the heel as they are almost doing that now. Good luck if you buy but order up at least a half size and more if you like to wear thicker socks. I usually order a 9.5 and ordered a 10.5 and have NEVER worn that size in my life!

Does the boots true to size? I usually wear 6 for flats and 6.5 for athletic shoes, what size you will recommend? Thanks!

I recommend size 7. I just ordered these in a 9.5 and sending them back for size 10. I plan to wear a normal sock with these. They just ran a little short in the toe area as the boot tends to make you lean forward the way they are built. Very warm boot.

    Great boots!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

These boots are SO COMFORTABLE. They are lightweight, fairly easy to slip on, and WARM. I wore them right out of the box to a show, they were easy to dance in, kept me comfortable at the show, and were warm for the long walk to the car in the snow afterwards. They're super cute, so I wasn't worried about compromising style for comfort. (I have the black ones with the multi-colored blanket). I'm excited to get them out in the snow this winter! They are true to size, in that I get an 8 for other brands and the 8 fit me just fine. I have read other reviews that say they aren't true to normal Sorel size, so keep that in mind. I didn't wear the thickest socks with them, but I didn't need to because they are so warm. I think I'm in love!

Hey! So not too hot at the show? Looking for footwear for day hikes along the west coast of Ireland later this month. Wondering if these will be too hot?

Does this boot have any leather on it?

    Hey Hannah,

This page lists both the Nylon and Blanket Tivoli 2 boots. The only difference in material is nylon vs. waterproof blanket upper matter.

Otherwise, here's what Sorel has on their website for construction:

    INSULATION: 100g insulation.

FOOTBED: Removable molded EVA footbed. Microfleece topcover.

    MIDSOLE: Rubber.

    OUTSOLE: Molded rubber outsole.

No leather in this one! There is a suede version on another page - that one obviously would have leather.
