Up the comfort.

Camber used to be for your skis or board, but Smith's bringing it to your dome with the new Camber MIPS Helmet. Employing top-shelf MIPS technology, which features a shell that rotates over the EPS impact foam to save your brain in rotational (see: the most common) impacts, the Camber's design takes protection, ventilation, and comfort to the next level. Most significantly, it uses Aerocore construction, an uber-lightweight design that's packed with Koroyd, a honeycomb-style composite, to provide increased levels of protection at minimal weights.

Don't be afraid of feeling like you jammed your head into a sweaty toadstool, either. Smith's in-mold construction gives the Camber sleek style, and the AirEvac 2 ventilation system has Regulator adjustable vents, so you can open up during spring shredding or batten down the hatches during epic February dumps. The Dial Fit System cinches the helmet's internals down around your skull for a snug, wobble-free fit, and the X-Static lining pulls moisture away from your dome while preventing the growth of odor-causing bacteria, so you won't have to roll down the windows on the way down the canyon. The Camber's Snapfit SL2 earpads are also compatible with audio systems, because you can't send 'er without the proper stoke coursing through your ear canals.

Head Protection

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Depending on your head size, this helmet fits true to slightly smaller in size. The helmet itself is light yet it has the MIPS liner for maximum protection. If you're in between sizes, try both, chat in and we can help you with a one time free return. Colors, price, quality, great choice!

Runs small

Great helmet but I'm usually an M (or at least, my last Smith helmet was an M) and I had to return the initial one I bought in exchange for an L. The L fits great, but be warned, if you're usually a Smith M, prepare to try on both sizes.

    Are the ear-warmer pads removable?

    My Dad loves it!

Just sharing some feedback my Dad gave me about this helmet I got for him. He loves it! Says it has all the fancy features and the fit is perfect, and goes great with his smith goggles. I have a Smith helmet as well and love it. I will always recommend a Smith helmet.

Best helmet for the price $$$

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you don't wanna spring for the Vantage because of the price. The Camber is an excellent choice. It's comfy, well ventilated and still offers great protection. I've taken some hard fails in this and it always does what you expect a helmet to do, protect your head. Thanks Smith for another great product.

    Great helmet

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

When I bought the Smith Camber with MIPS, I was looking for a great MIPS helmet that was reasonably priced .

I have tried helmets that are slightly more comfortable (Smith Vantage), but for the fit, technology, color availability, and price, the Camber was the best helmet I found. I would suggest people try on a Smith helmet with MIPS prior to purchasing: it seems they insert the liner in a regular helmet, so it may fit smaller than a non-MIPS helmet.

Additionally, it was great using the helmet with audio chips. I use the Outdoor Tech wireless chips.
