I don’t mind that this sweater is a bit thin, but it has absolutely no shape to it and fit like a big bag. There is way too much material in the waist and no bottom edge detail, so it arrived looking like someone had completely stretched it out. Returned.

I bought the smartwool ripple ridge half zip, it is more of a dressy sweater than a rugged outdoor sweater. Looks great with khaki's or grey slacks, my son in law loved it! Fits true to size, would definitely recommend. Also, the sweater was on sale when I bought a large, but it looked so big, I ordered a medium to be safe, and it wasn't on sale. Backcountry gave me a credit for the difference. Great customer service!

Material looks/feels nice, but you would need to dawn three or four of them before stepping outside in the winter.
The waste hem is very loose. Appears stretched out/bell shaped.
Bottom line, I did not think this item would survive very long, and for $105 on sale, I expected a lot more, so I returned it.
Note: This sweater is very similar to the "Sparwood Crew Sweater", which I also returned.
