Highly recommended

  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XL

I really like this product, it definitely helps when we run or walk for a while, it compress the muscles very well. Highly recommended.

Comfy and effective!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

I got these last minute before running the 1/2 at the Las Vegas Rock 'n' Roll Marathon. Glad I did! The wool feels great against my skin. They never hinted at coming down off my calf. Another great property of merino wool is that they don't hold the stink the way a synthetic does. I'll be getting a second pair to wear for afternoon recovery, minus the sweat.

Good idea.

I decided to try these as we worked to increase our daily hike mileage. They worked. Instead of experiencing that calf pain on long dirt trail uphills, I had none. Instead of waking up in the morning feeling some degree of calf pain, I had none.
They are very warm however so it's kind of impossible to wear them on hot days.
I found them to fit true to size based upon the size chart. My husband purchased a pair and found them to fit way too tight.

Really good support

They are really good but it is true that they runs very small, so ask around before purchasing, my calf is like 37 cm diameter and XL size is at least what I think a good fit for me.
New info, although I said this runs small, I buy them again in M size and what do you know they fit the same but not as large as XL so I will change my comment to true to size

Super Comfortable

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

Got these for my mom for a half marathon she had coming up. She said they were a game changer for her, as she tends to swell up during longer runs. She finished the whole 13.1 and was feeling better than any other race she has done thus far.

Runs very Small

These didn't even slide up to my lower arms. I am 5'5" and 125 lbs with average built.

They are for your calves, not for your arms.

    warm and functional

I bought these with the hope that they would help prevent the shin splints and calf tightness I had been having while running. I've used them a couple times and they seem to do the job! I haven't had any of the pain or tightness while running that I had before. I wore these for my half marathon this past weekend and my calves felt great the whole time, and soreness the next day was minimal.
They also do a great job at keeping your calves warm during a run. I wear these with capris on 40-50F days and have been comfortable.
Only complaint is that they are pretty tricky to take off; however I am sure this is true for all compression socks since they have to be tight to do their job.

    amazing

i used this pair in winter and do the work.

    Great sleeves

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got these because my calves were cramping up on me when running. Since using them I no longer have that problem. They are just the right amount of compression. I don't really even notice them being on.

    Decent calf sleeves

I've had great experiences with smartwool, so I decided to try out these sleeves. Thus far, they've been pretty good. Provide a decent amount of compression but not an uncomfortable amount. I've used them on a couple of runs as well as on the job when I'm on my feet all day. My legs have gotten a little warm wearing them in warm weather. Sometimes I prefer a little more length to my sleeves, and I go with some CW-X ventilator sleeves for that purpose, which are a little cooler as well.
    Still a solid product.

    Pair of compression calf sleeves.

    They work great

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small

I use this specially for indoor training and they to feel great (altough I have to be careful when putting them in, since they run a little short), they reduce cramps that I used to have and help me feel better the next day, and if I pushed extra, help me recover in less time.

    Nursing use

They work! BUT- I have bigger calves than I thought and they ripped while I was attempting to put them on!

    Save the legs

Ran ragnar with these on for the first time, I normally get cramp in my calf on long runs, I got nothing this time, it felt good because I wore them. I love these things.
