Luckily, you layered the SmartWool Men's NTS Midweight Zip Top under your waterproof shell before hitting the slopes this morning, especially considering the twenty minute lift-hold you endured in frigid, single-digit temps. This midweight baselayer features cozy merino wool for high levels of heat-trapping warmth and moisture-wicking comfort. Moreover, the seamless shoulders and flatlock body seams eliminate the scratchy, irritating feel common with many wool baselayers.

Excellent Backpacking/Skiing Base Layer

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

Used this pullover for backpacking the White Mountains as well as skiing in Killington. Held up great in both places. Kept me pretty warm, even when wet. Stood up pretty well to the sub -30 degree temps as a base layer while skiing.

This piece is very soft and does very well at regulating temperature and managing moisture.

Nice

I picked this up in the Moab color, and its a nice change from all the black baselayers I have had in the past. Its good looking, and warm.
