    Great value

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased these for my son who just got into the fishing game recently, and the report back from him is that they are good, comfortable fishing boots. Surprisingly light and with felt that works, a good entry level functional fishing boot.

    Really great boot

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Simms just doesnt fail when it comes to their gear. These boots have been great so far! I would suggest ordering a boot a half size bigger than your street shoe size.

    Simms Rock Creek Wading Boots

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great boots for the money. Comfortable fit and felt grabs gravel bottoms well. I wear an 11.5 shoe, ordered a 13 and they fit great with my waders.

    Good boots

These boots are awesome for the price. I like the felt bottom.

      Great Value.

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These are great boots for the money. very sturdy base, comfortable.

Great boots at a bargain price

Second pair we have bought . Great for fishing on the Green river spring to fall. Runs large.

Won't do anything but felt. Superior traction something you don't want to worry about when pulling that bull in.

Can you recommend a size for me? I'm a 12.5/13, and I will only use the boots with waders w/ neoprene socks. I'm thinking a 14. Thoughts?

          Hey James,

I would go a size up from your normal shoe based upon the fact you will only use waders with neoprene socks. I think the 14 should be spot on if you normal shoe size is a 13, and will also give you room in case you end up fishing during colder days. Shoot me an email with any questions.

          Awesome affordable boots!

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

While some may dislike the felt bottoms, for invasive species transmission, its easy to get around this by thoroughly washing these boots after use.

And i find that the felt has significant traction in a lot of stoney areas.

They fit great, the are easy to get on and are affordable!

          Bargain boots

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I recently got a pair of these boots. I have used them a few times so far and I have to admit they are much more comfortable than I expected from a cheaper boot. Another plus to these boots is they are quite light weight. For the price you would be hard pressed to find another boot on the market that is this comfortable and lightweight.

The felt bottoms offer excellent grip on slick moss covered rocks. The rubber toe offers protection as well as keeps the toe of the boot from getting too beat up when you are hiking down to your favorite hole.

I have these in a size 10 and they fit very well. I normally am a size 9.5 street shoe and though the 9 may have fit the 10 offers enough room for thick warm socks and is not too large by any means. I would recommend going up a half to full size from your street shoes in this boot to accommodate for additional insulation when the temps drop.

Dan: are you wearting a pair of waders with neoprene bottoms with this boot in the sizing you suggest? I am a size 10 or 9.5 shoe, and I was think I would get a size 11 in these boots, wearing them always with waders with neoprene sock bottoms that are a bit large for my shoe size so that the waders fit me well.

i tried a pair on with my waders at my local fly shop. with waders and wool socks i was a 9 in wading boots and street shoe i wear 8s ya tinny feet lol

          Hey Jerry J,
Wow I am late to the party on this one. Hopefully you have found the right size in these by now. If not I think the size 10 would fit you well. The 11 would offer plenty of room for layering, but may feel a little loose at times. I am wearing these boots with waders that have neoprene bottoms. With those waders and some warm socks the boot fits me very well.
