    E-Tube Di2 Wire

The Shimano E-Tube Di2 Wire plays an integral and important role in assembling your 6770, 6870, or 9070 Di2 group. Without it, you can't install your Di2 derailleurs, shifters, or battery. So, check the size chart on this page for length, and don’t worry about the rest. If you’re running Ultegra 6770 or 6870, or Dura-Ace 9070, this E-Tube Di2 Wire will connect up all the moving parts. Its connectors are the same, regardless of application, so all you have to do is choose the length that’s best suited.

    • Connector wires for Shimano's E-Tube Di2 system
    • Easily clicks into place for quick and easy install
    • May be used for internal or external applications

      Easy to Use

Durable, reliable, clean, what more can you ask for?

        Simple and Durable

Easy to use, snap in place securely, and durable.

          They make things move

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It's easy to install and it makes sure your derailleur shifts when you want it to.

          What you need

This is the wire you need to install your Di2 group. It's a critical component of one of the best gruppos ever made.

            Straight Forward

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Shimano's e-tube wires work flawlessly. After a few Di2 set ups over the past couple years I have had zero issues.

            Durable wire!!

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It's the only wire you can get for connecting di2 components, but the quality is there, great and very durable.

            Shimano E-Tube Di2 Wire

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

shockingly durable little wire that connects your components

A little long for the D-Fly

            • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Purchased this to connect the D-Fly until to the rear derailleur. it is a little long. It would be great if CC stocked the 250 mm or 200 mm lengths

they have 250, but not 200mm - bummer!

            E-Z does it.

Electronic shifting...it's a thing of beauty! You'll need a few of these to complete any Di2 setup. If you have any questions on what you need, please give our customer service "Gearhead" team a call!

              no issues

              • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

connections seem very secure and fits great inside my bike. I would certainly purchase this item again!

About as easy as it gets

              • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Even though the E-Tube wiring has been around for a while, I still hear fears of use and concerns about durability. I've had the good fortune to build, test and unfortunately crash E-Tube equipped bikes for a couple years now and between the ease of setup and surprising durability of the system, I'm constantly impressed by how well it works. Wireless is the future, but until then we're in good hands!

              etube di2 wire

              • Familiarity: I've used it several times

i am amazed how robust this wire is and how well it fits neatly inside the frame. i was kind of hesitant about electrical wire on a road bike. but shimano did a great job of building very robust protective shield around the major wires for protection. it is not easy to cut one of these wire's unless you deliberately set out to do just that. Good product and it looks like it will last a long time.

              Di2 Reference Guide
Battery and Wires: Our Shimano Di2 packages are built for three standard configurations based on battery location and wire routing. First, you'll need to determine if your frame uses an internal or external battery mount, and whether the routing is either internal or external. Below is a guide for which battery, charger, mount, and junction boxes are required for your configuration.

              with Internal Routing

              SM-EW90 A/B 3/5 port

Battery Mounts: The SM-BMR2 battery mount is available in three configurations -- Long External, Short External, and Long Internal. Both Long versions are to be mounted using the bottle cage mounts, while the Short version is designed for Di2-specific frames with either a chainstay or down tube mounting location.

Junctions: There are two junctions needed for completing your Di2 build -- A and B. Junction A, SM-EW90, is located at the handlebars and available in both three- and five-port options. The three-port option is intended for standard shifting with a left and right hand shifter. If you have the intention of using Shimano's satellite sprint shifters, or a combination of time trial shifters and shifter/brake levers, the five-port junction box will be the necessary selection.

Depending on your frame specification, Junction B (SM-JC40 or SM-JC41) is located either internally or externally at the bottom bracket area. Accordingly, SM-JC41 is designed for frames with internal wire routing, while SM-JC40 is intended for external wiring options.

E-Tube Wires: For your convenience, we've created wire packages for your Di2 build kit in the sizes Small, Medium, and Large. Below, you'll find which wire lengths are included in each kit. Additionally, we've recommended a kit size based on your frame size.
