Shimano SH-ME3 Mountain Bike Shoe - Wide - Men's

Versatile trail comfort.

Start out your ride with a "Thank you" from your feet when you strap into the Shimano SH-ME3 Wide mountain bike shoe for men. With the perfect balance of performance and comfort, and the room allotted by a wide last, your feet will be smiling up at you as you mash up punchy climbs, and hammer down rock gardens all day long.

It all begins with a hug from supple synthetic leather uppers that wrap your foot in securely. With perforation across the bridge, perspiration and heat can escape with ease, and aiding in the relief of the ever-irritating hot-foot, there is a mesh panel over the toe to dump extra degrees when it's hot out. Strapping in for lift off, a reverse-buckle ratchet strap allows you to micro-manage the comfort of your fit, while tucking the excess strap neatly underneath so you don't risk snagging it on stray branches and trail debris. Two hook-and-loop straps cross your instep and toe-box to offer a bit more security to the shoe. The shoe is built on a wide-specific last, so it's wider than the standard men's shoe, accommodating those of us with wider forefeet and not-so-slender ankles.

Underneath the uppers lies a TORBAL midsole, which allows for a bit more torsional flex than the higher end ME5 and ME7. On Shimano's stiffness scale of 1-12, the ME3 lands at a 5, making it the perfect choice for a recreational cyclist, or someone who just wants to have a bit more natural flow in their foot when mashing down on the pedals. The outsole is generously decked out with lugs made from lightweight rubber. With supple traction, you won't have issues when hiking a bike is the only option, or you really just want to hop off trail to explore a view point with ease.
