Why We Like The RC300 Limited Edition Cycling Shoe

We can all agree that if there is a place to start playing around with style as a rider, it's at the shoes, and the RC300 Limited Edition Cycling Shoe is a value-minded opportunity to begin refining your vibe. Sitting mid-level in Shimano's road-shoe range, the RC300 offers a race-worthy construction, without dipping into your piggy bank too deeply. As an upgrade to the entry-level RC1, the RC300 receives a Boa L6 dial, which offers more incremental adjustments to fine-tune the fitting than the traditional hook-and-loop strap. You'll still find reliable power transfer to the pedals with the fiberglass reinforced nylon sole, and the Rubber XC racing pattern gives you extra grip for clicking in and walking around.

For comfort mile after mile, Shimano integrates the midsole to the upper for a seamless fit and unified form that stabilizes your foot during high power efforts. The RC300 is compatible with 3-bolt cleats for the traditional road pedal platform.

I've used it several times

Decent beginner shoes. Should have heeded the advice “buy nice or buy twice”. The fit is sloppy and not suited for long rides.

They're just okay.

I returned this product before using it

I have a pair of the cheaper ones and they are better shoes. I figured I was getting an upgrade. The fit is definitely too tight. Go at least one size up. I'm returning mine. I think I'm going to get a pair of mavics.

Great shoes for my Echelon bike

I've used it several times

Size is small, so make sure you order at least 1 full size bigger. Other than that, they are great shoes and perform really well.

Cool Look, Poor Performance

I've put it through the wringer

I was super bummed at these. They look nice but the fit is rough. The boa fit on this doesn't grab like other shoes (Fizik) that I've worn that are comparable prices. It squeezes real tight on the outer part of your mid-foot because of the location of the boa twist. Also Uncomfortably tight on the top/ankle of the foot(chaffing/irritation) and not tight enough of a hug on the main part of the foot and on the ball of the foot where a lot of power transfer happens. I wouldn't buy these again and wish I could return if I hadn't tried them already. Will go back to other shoes.
