Face hole to small

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought this for my no to to wear under his helmet. Fits well but the face hole is to small, kid hates it.

Works but bothers the kiddo

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Universal

The product is as described, but it seems to really bother my daughter when she uses it. The mouth covering part bothers her enough that we spend more time than I'd like battling to get it positioned just right to keep it from bothering her. If you adjust it too low however, it pulls the top down over the kid's eyes. I'd give it 5 stars if it had a little more face room to allow for adjustment.

Is the face opening large enough for a 9 year old? I've read that some of these "thick and thin" balaclavas have way too narrow a face opening.

Thanks in advance.

I'd be surprised if this fit your 9 year old. It's a little too small an opening for my nearly 4 year old.

Warm and Cozy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got one of these for each of my kids to wear on the slopes. The thin top is comfortable under their helmets, and the warm, thick lower keeps them protected from the weather. There is enough length that we don't have to worry about them coming untucked from their jacket collars. All around a great purchase.

Nephew and Daughter

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought one each for my daughter and nephew who ski on the Devo Team at Snowbird. They love them for the cold snowy days. Keeps their faces warm and cozy. Great under a helmet.
