Cooling even for the hardest climbs.

Santini has a reputation as the brand many of the pros wear. The BCOOL Bib Shorts won’t disappoint, as they keep you cool when you go after that PR on your local climb.

The majority of the paneling on the shorts is sewn from a blend Santini calls Lycra Newport. This fabric is a combination of stretch and compression that reduces fatigue caused by muscle oscillation. The side panels have the added benefit of carbon particles woven into the knit. These particles not only keep UV rays at bay, they also minimize odors. Holding the bibs in place on the top are mesh straps that keep you cool by allowing air between the fabric and your skin. On the bottom are anti-slip Lycra leg bands.

To keep you comfortable as you grind uphill, Santini incorporates the GITevo chamois into the BCOOL bibs. This insert is the lightest in the gel insert line and features ample padding for your sit bones. The microfiber cover is also antimicrobial and wicking to keep you cool and dry.

Not as advertised!

These bibs are cut and labelled as BCool bibs but are made from Thunderbike lycra and contain the GITevo chamois (not the MIG chamois). They are clearly an inferior product compared to that advertised. This issue raised with Backcountry who knowingly continue to sell them mislabelled and with misleading advertising.

It has been confirmed from Santini - the delivered product from Backcountry is definitely NOT the genuine classic Santini BCool bibs.

    Good fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: xl

Did a few rides in these and really liked the fit. The only thing I didnt like was the chamois. It is very thin and seemingly hard. It does not fit me and where my sit bones meet the seat. They are great bibs but I get uncomfortable about 1.5 hours into a ride. I am 6'4" 180lbs and ordered the XL. It fit fine for my build. Again I just dont like the chamois

Tried these last fall and again this year. Fit feels good but the straps fold over and become more like cords. Nip chafers. Many jerseys won't cover the low front of these. And if you like giggling tweens whilst stopping for a drink, the small viewing window right at the crotch works wonders!
I have already moved these to the back of the closet.
