Don't Cross Its Path.
A force to reckon with on trails, the Salomon Women's Speedcross Pro 2 Trail Running Shoe delivers the same, dependable performance you've come to know and love from the original Speedcross Pro, just with a few new tweaks. Though, don't be dismayed that the Pro has gone and got itself upgraded: these updates are designed to enhance your performance, not hinder it.
The first change is a relatively important one, specifically that the Speedcross Pro 2 now features an 8mm drop instead of a 10mm, promoting a more comfortable, low-impact stride. Additionally, rather than the plain-old Contagrip outsole it once had, the Pro 2 is endowed with a Wet Traction Contagrip outsole, making it an ideal companion for wet and dry trail runs alike. The Sensifit upper has been fine-tuned even more to provide a barely-there fit and feel, in turn preventing hot spots or chafing. Though, in keeping with the original model, the Pro 2 is equipped with a responsive EVA midsole, which attenuates impact, enhances energy return, and provides protection underfoot.

- Q & A
Only for narrow feet
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Great shoe, but super narrow. I have very thin feet, but they are slightly wide across the ball of the foot and toes, so I need a little extra width in the toebox. These run long and narrow, and I even found the height of the toebox too low. A half size larger might have worked in the toebox, but then they would be too long. Also because these are narrow, the sole is very narrow too, which doesn't look like it would have very good lateral stability. Right now I'm trail running in the Brooks Caldera. I'm very happy with them and was mainly looking at the Salomon Speedcross for winter, since they have a more aggressive tread.
no sore feet!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 7.5
This is my second pair of salomons.
I work alot of beer festivals and some of the events are on concrete - these are the best shoes to wear - my feet are not sore after 12 hours of standing on concrete and lugging kegs of beer around and serving beer. Also great if beer or water/ice is on concrete (no slipping!)
They also are great for the gym too! and wet New England weather!
