Decent for price

Was looking for a non leather winter boots with insulation and waterproofing and these seem to fit the bill. They were on sale and figured I'd give them a shot and they are mostly good, 7/10.
Pros:
Great waterproofing so far
Decent traction but nothing to get excited about
Not as narrow as other Salomon shoes,if you have normal feet these should work.
Cons:
Frankly they just lack stability.Went on a short walk in foot deep snow and these just don't have much structure. Additionally, I feel like there is too much volume in the shoe overall and can leave too much play for your foot to slip around.
I feel like a could have sized down half a size and perhaps these issues would be fixed but unfortunately my wife threw away the box so I'm unable to exchange them.
These are insulated but the material is so thin I don't think it really makes any difference.
Durability remains to be seen but I wouldn't trust these for much more than walking around town, I definitely wouldn't do any winter hiking in these.
Overall if you need a shoe to go out into town during icy snow days for a cheap price, I'd try these out. Beats walking around in giant rubber boots for sure. I would probably just go with a winter hiking boot though that way you don't need more pairs of shoes.
