- Q & A
Ready for Arctic adventures!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The only reason why I'm giving these 4 stars and not 5 stars, is because of the break-in period. While the footbed is comfortable from Day 1 of wear, the back of the boot is quite stiff and bothered the back of my calf. I do have very short legs, so the boots will probably have a better break-in period for someone with longer than a 28" inseam. Early calf-rubbing aside, these boots are freaking awesome and I'm looking forward to wearing them snowshoeing and mountaineering this winter and spring. The black with the teal looks sweet and you can easily attach a pant clip or gaiter to the laces.
Great winter boots
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I bought these for my sister as a gift and she loves them. She works outside a lot in the winter running around in slush, snow, and on ice. These boots keep your feet super warm and dry, I've borrowed them when winter hiking as well, and they're great all around boots.
Girlfriend loves them
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: True to size
Heading to Iceland in February and the Girlfriend needed a good pair of winter boots for hiking. She's done a few hikes around the Salt Lake valley in them and loves them so far. Temperate was between 15 to 30 degrees when she's gone out and they have been really warm for her. She tends to get cold especially in her feet and hands, so this was a bit impressive.
