Do It All Performance Fleece!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XS

I was a little hesitant to spend a lot of money on a fleece, but I wanted one that would perform and Salewa is a company that is well respected, so I figured I'd take the chance.

This is a great technical fleece to wear as a mid-layer -- it's recommended for hiking, but it's so breathable you can definitely wear it for skiing or ice climbing like I have! I wore this every day ice climbing in Ouray under my slew of puffies and a softshell, and it kept my core warm the entire trip.

It also has side zips to dump excess heat which is a useful feature, but I haven't used it yet because frankly I'm just always cold. My favorite feature is probably the hood, which acts as a balaclava when full zipped and easily fits under a helmet or beanie/helmet combination.

I would say this fits true to size as a fairly form fitting technical piece of clothing with room for base layers underneath it. It moves well and does not feel restricting in any way - I wore it rock climbing as my outer layer during the actual climb and it kept warmth in while allowing ventilation .

A great technical fleece for aerobic activities!
