Ravine Select Snowboard

The turbo-charged version of the Ravine, Rome's Ravine Select Snowboard takes the blueprint from the original and jacked it up with Carbon Omego Hotrods and a SuperPop core to give you unreal levels of power, pop, and response. This poppy and responsive board floats exceptionally well due to the Free-The-Ride Camber profile, which provides excellent edge hold on firm snow while also dropping the back foot in pow for enhanced float. This float is further boosted by the flat and rocker sections in front of the front foot to complete a package that thrives in deep and untouched snow but also easily skips through afternoon crud and carves down groomers.

  • Powerhouse version of Rome's all-terrain powder board
  • Directional shape offers control at high speeds and while carving
  • Free-The-Ride Camber offers exceptional float and response
  • Medium-stiff flex is powerful and stable while remaining jibby
  • Carbon Omega Hotrods juice up your power and responsiveness
  • Biax and triax laminates add torsional rigidity to boost edge hold
  • SuperPop core is Rome's lightest and most responsive core
  • SinterSpeed base helps you cruise out of long flat run outs

Everyday Charger / Incredible Pow Board

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 158

I used to riding the regular ravine as that had turned into my daily driver. Once I demo'd the select I knew this was going to be the next step up for me. It is lighter and stronger with the same side cut that rips. If you are looking for the board that will check all the boxes for all mountain cruiser and pow board this is definitely it.

New Favorite

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Ravine Select is an all mountain beast. Wanna carve some groomers... it does that. Wanna ride some trees...it does that. Wanna hit some jumps...it does that too. However, when a storm dumps a fresh foot on all your favorite features...that's when the Ravine Select really gets to work!! Feed it whatever you want. It'll eat everything and ask for seconds.

2021 Rome Ravine Select Snowboard

The Ravine Select is the beefed-up big brother of Rome's fan favorite Ravine. Built with a more responsive flex profile and the new Directional Diamond 3D, it’s designed to make short work of the steepest lines and still float with ease. Sturdy, powerful and hyper-responsive, the Ravine Select handles business.

    Versatile shape that doesn't compromise

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This board was surprisingly versatile. I ride a variety of terrain, and even though I prefer powder, this board handled groomers, park terrain, trees, side country, back country with no issues. It was smooth and easy to ride - really quick to acclimate to. I was a bit concerned that the directional shape & camber was a bit too directional for my style of riding and freestyle, but to my surprise, it was really easy to ride regular or switch. The 3D nose camber is fun in powder and keeps you afloat. It was very responsive and snappy, but provided some forgiveness without giving up control. It's a really fun board to ride, and if you want a board that can do it all, is fun and does not sacrifice control, this is it!
