An overvalued windbreaker
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Weight:
- null
Overall impression of this jacket is that it’s a windbreaker with light insulation in only the sleeves and front panel. There is ZERO insulation or lining on the entire back. Although Roark discloses this on their website, Backcountry did not. Had I known this I would have passed on this jacket. If you are a daypacker and want something to provide some warmth without having your back sweat, this jacket would be good for you. I bought it for those 33-40 degree days when it’s cold and a little rainy. This is not a jacket for those conditions. The lack of insulation on the back is making me return this. As far as sizing, they are athletic fit and run small. I normally wear an XL which is usually a little roomy on me. This XL was fitted and did not leave enough room for some fleece layers. I can fit into a large but prefer more space and flexibility. I am 6’0 and 174 lbs.
