Half Nelson Lock-On Grip

Instead of spending a season and a half adjusting your hold on too-squishy grips, waiting for the day they finally wear down enough to feel just right, start the the season off with the Race Face Half Nelson Lock-On Grip. The fact that the grip shares a name with a beloved wrestling maneuver should give you some indication of its efficacy, but if you're unfamiliar, let us fill you in. The Half Nelson was made to feel like a perfectly broken-in grip, with a low-profile design, half waffle pattern, and soft, tacky construction, but still exhibit the longevity of beefier models. It'll lend you precise, pared-down control in the cockpit, without the unreliability of an old grip that's finally reached its prime.

  • Forgo excessive cushion for this slim, precise grip
  • Lock-on design is both secure and easy to install
  • RaceFace MX style half waffle provides extra hand grip
  • Topographic moisture channels promote airflow

Quick and easy

Quick and easy install. Lock on good. Super grippy. Great color and value

    Light hands :)

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Oh I do love these, comfort, color..(turquoise) grips if/when you cannot have a new bike..make a big difference, these slip on easy , tighten down and ready rock!

Great grip, looks good on my Yeti

Love the grip and the turquoise color that matches my Yeti

      Stick like glue.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

To me these are the best. Stick like glue feel great in hands.

      Sweet Design

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These things are pretty great. Usually go with the Knuckle Dusters but got a chance to check these out. Really great feeling on these and a solid grip. Probably won't switch to these but they're definitely a solid choice.

      Durable and colorful

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought the turquoise to match the blue accent on my bike. The grips are comfortable and durable. Not too much padding but grippy. They work great for me.

      Great all around

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I think they look great on the bike. I was a little hesitant to try something new but have loved the feel all year.

      simple, effective & steezy

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great grips. Lock in place well. Functional and stylish texture. Steezy colors. I've used them before and will use them again.

      slim grip

nice slim grip with single lock on ring for added comfort on the bar end, pretty cool topographic map look to it, colors are great!

        Low Profile Grip

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are great, I was use to riding with a thicker grip and wanted to try something more low profile. They are super grippy and get the job done.

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Epic precision grips for barreling downhill or when you need extra style for the cruisey single track

        Soft and Tacky

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Like a day old gummy bear.

        Tacky and low profile

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

        - Tacky and provide excellent grip.
        - The topo map channels keep them from getting slippery on wet rides
        - Low profile, minimalist design provides excellent bar feel
        - They look cool
Potential Cons (these are mostly a matter of personal preference)
        - If you're looking for a padded grip, look elsewhere.
        - The single lock ring means you'll most likely need friction paste on carbon bars.

        black is the new black

Threw these on the klunker to replace the sticky gooey messy original ones. Race Face logo acts as the raised portion for wet conditions. Not a ton of padding so if you prefer thick and soft, go for Oury's or similar. If you like a firm semi thin grip these are a good choice.

          Slim and Sticky

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

these grips have a nice taper and slim diameter also half waffle logo on the underside overall the best grips I've used.

          Good, just not great

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Got these for the wife's bike and they work, but not super tacky. Grip was okay, but we ended up changing them out for a different grip after a few rides.
