Unplug from civilization in cozy comfort.
Great for first-time buyers and seasoned backpackers alike, the Rab Ascent 500 Sleeping Bag provides high levels of warmth and compact carrying for evenings deep in the wilderness. Rated down to 24-degrees Fahrenheit (European Lower Limit), this down-filled bag is ideal for three-season camping and milder winter nights. Rab's own Sleep Limit of 21-degrees Fahrenheit (result of European Standard + user testing) means it'll suffice when the mercury plunges below the forecast's prediction.
650-fill European duck down offers excellent warmth and compact carrying with its lofty down clusters. The down insulation features a hydrophobic treatment that prevents outside moisture from seeping through and compromising its lofty warmth. Pertex Microlight fabric repels condensation and built-up perspiration from ruining the down's high-loft insulation. Plus, its wide mummy shape equates to roomy comfort for a better night's sleep. As a cool bonus, this bag zips to other Ascent bags when you're camping with your significant other, favorite pooch, or simply desire double the sleeping space.

The trim, semi-rectangular shape leaves plenty of room in the footbox or extra space to store gear. Could add more volume in the shoulders and hip area. The bag has great durability - credit the Nikwax hydrophotic down treatment. It keeps the feathers fluffy through some challenging conditions. Great sleeping bag!

Hand Filled in Derbyshire
Sleeping bags are firmly where we started and they remain a core part of our range to this day. Back in the 1970's when Rab Carrington was making sleeping bags in Patagonia, he probably didn't imagine that 40 years later sleeping bags with his name on them would be used all over the world in some of the most beautiful yet hostile environments.
To this day, we hand-fill our down insulated sleeping bags at our factory in Derbyshire, UK. This allows us to know for definite that, by the time our bags reach our customers, they have never been compressed or stored in a way which could be harmful for the down inside. By filling the bags in house, we can be completely sure that every down sleeping bag that leaves our factory will arrive to our customers in the best possible condition.
