A style that never gets plaid out.

Some things always change, while others stay the same, but the Quiksilver Men's River Back Flannel Shirt is a sure bet and will probably still be cool to pass onto your children. Made from a flannel cotton fabric with spandex accents to create stretch where it counts, the River Back is good to go roasting marshmallows in the beach bonfire, nursing a dark roast while hustling freelance, or going out on a promising 1st date.

  • A flannel shirt for light adventure and urban casual
  • Cotton fabric breathable on hot summer excursions
  • Spandex accents yield stretch at critical stress points
  • Dual chest pockets hold cash, ID, your new crush's #

Cool shirt, slim fit

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

Purchased this for my son who is a slim six foot, 190lbs. He really likes the style. This is made by Quicksilver which is brand targeting younger and hipper surfers and snowboarders. As a result thier sizing and cut will run smaller for "normal" sized people. The fit on this shirt is slim which works for son who typically wears a size medium.

Way small

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XXL

Very nice shirt - but the sizing is a bit crazy. I have another Quiksilver shirt from a couple years ago in XL that's also labeled "Modern Fit" (just like this one), and it's fine around hip and waist, a little snug in chest/shoulders. Apparently, the fit has gotten more modern since then - I upsized to XXL, but it's seriously tight up there now. So definitely more of a slim rather than athletic fit. Too bad, as it's a nice shirt.

Awesome...if you have short arms.

I’ve been looking for a tailored fit flannel. This shirt fits the bill! Higher quality than I expected from a surf brand. Great slim fit through the torso, perfect fit in the shoulders, short in the sleeve. Bummer. I’m 6ft 170lbs, and long armed apparently. I wear a size medium. Have to return.

    Hi there,
I wanted to ask what size did you try? L or XL? I have had the Mountain Hardwear Stretchstone Flannel and the fit was perfect in M. Thinking about getting the size L here, would it fit as well as the MH? Thanks
