From the climbing crag to the coffee shop, the Halle is designed to tackle just about everything and anything you throw at it. It features Prana's Stretch Zion fabric, which stretches for unimpeded mobility, and converts to a capri when an early morning start gives way to midday heat.

  • Trouser-inspired pants for active or casual wear
  • Stretch fabric is moisture-wicking and wrinkle-resistant
  • DWR treatment fends off light moisture
  • Roll-up leg feature converts pant into capris
  • Multiple pockets keep necessities close
  • Relaxed fit maintains mobility while hiking or climbing

I use these as a wind barrier in winter

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love these pants! I've had them (size 2 reg) for a few years now and they fit pretty well, although I'm going to try one size down (size 0 reg) for my second pair as they are a smidge big at the waist for me (they have a drawstring so it works fine). They fit just below the belly button which I prefer. Length on me is perfect and I don't think they have a large flare. I'm 5ft 8in with a long straight torso and weigh130lbs.I have more of a straight build, less curvy. They wash well and still look great. I use these as an outer layer over a pair of marmot yoga-type thicker pants and they seem to block the wind in winter. I've been out in 20's temps with some wind and am toasty warm. They don't make as much noise as my marmot windproof pants so I prefer these.

very big flare which is not good for hiking. The difference between the regular and short length is massive .

Best hiking pant

I now own three pair of Halle pants. The pockets are minuscule. However, these are tough britches! I crawled and scooted across rocks and brambles and not even a pin hole. They are stretchy a d comfortable. I highly recommend!

Great work pant. I get extra discount from here: coupon-bird.com

Comfy stretchy and work for anything

I hate work clothes, I can make these work. Then they also work for hiking, climbing sometimes too. Very very good all-arounder

These pants are awesome. I bought a pair from backcountry about 4 years ago and I still wear them all the time. I wanted a couple more pair in different colors and I was so relieved to see that ParAna still makes them and that Backcountry still stocks them. Highly recommend both companies.

    Read this if you're tall!

I bought these pants because I trust my friends and the huge amount of people who swear by them... and everybody is right. They are extremely comfortable! Typically pants that feel this nice and have the amount of stretch that they do are very thin and don't hold up, but these are different.

Only issue was my own doing- I am 5'9 so sometimes I need tall pants and sometimes I don't. This time, I ordered tall and they are way too long. Kind of strange because the tall size in the Halle Straight Pants fit perfectly.. but that's okay! I will return these for standard length. I don't recommend getting tall if you're under 5'10.

Love these in Cargo Green. Bought size 4 short. Perfect. I enjoy serious hiking & Colorado and Adirondack summits. These pants wear great. Wash and line dry no dryer.

I'll never go back to jeans

Literally the best pants. The first time I put them on it felt like I was wearing my favorite pants of several years. The material is soft and flexible but they look like regular pants instead of something technical. They have a great and flattering fit, and I love how I am always the same size at prana (they have the most consistent sizing of any brand I've ever bought).

    Seriously the BEST work/outdoor pants.

I am a large animal veterinary student and these pants are fantastic! They are breathable, flexible, sporty, and professional looking. I ordered 4 pairs and plan on getting more colors.
    I highly recommend!!!

I purchased this pant after reading reviews and asking a couple of co-workers their opinion. Working in the warehouse from receiving to pick/putaway I'm always on the run and need flexible pants to keep me cool and comfortable. These pants are so forgiving and relaxed. I'm able to snap them up in a second or easily let them down.

All the good that others have said, and more! Run long, good with a little curve, stretchy, durable. Would also like a slightly larger front pocket, but it is what it is. My only complaint would be that the roll up leg fastener is too high for Capri style... that needs to move down, adjust for tall proportions.

    Love, love, love!

These are really cute and comfortable. Finally hiking pants for petite gals who have curves! I don’t even have to get them hemmed. I will buy another pair.

    Almost Perfect

    • Size Bought: 6 Tall

These pants fit well and I mean they are kind of awesome. I am 5'10 and 135lbs - but I have a bit of a curve to me. There are some hiking pants out there made for the more straight ladies and these are made for those of us with a slight curve/hips. They really are comfortable, durable and my go to when hiking or doing anything outdoors. They are light weight, but not too light weight and have a nice stretch to them. They move with you not against you.
The reason I give these only a 4 star is that our phones are getting bigger. The pocket on the side is not quite large enough. I jacked up my previous iphone that fit like a champ in the side leg pocket, but the iphone xr is bigger and that is what I am dealing with. It's a struggle to get that in the side pocket and the front pockets are super shallow. I don't know why men get to have sweet deep pockets especially with an outdoor pant and women don't . So my only upgrade would be make the pockets a bit deeper and the leg pocket a bit larger. Then....my friends....these are perfect!

    Most perfect pants ever.

I bought 2 pairs of these when I was working for backcountry because I like them. Fast forward 6 years later: I am now running around a busy nursery planting and maintaining plants. I go from humid climates to arid in just a few steps and being able to alternate between long pants and capri length is wonderful! Not to mention the right thigh side pocket, it's perfect for my pruning shears. The water resistant material also helps with the potting soil, too.

Top button is sewn on- probelmatic

    • Size Bought: 8 Tall

I really do love these pants and the length. BUT, second pair I have purchased and both times the top buttons (both of them) have come off. Yes, I fit into the pants. But, if you wear them a lot, those buttons get a lot of use. To have them sewn on is a design flaw. And, once they come off I am not inclined to sew them back on (working mom life). Please reconsider the design!

I have been rockin' Halles for years now. At 6ft tall I was always forced into choosing between wearing high-waters or rolling pants into capris. Then came the Halles. I have worn these on long climbs, long approaches, snowy winter 14ers, hot desert climbing, sticky island hikes, the grocery store, date nights, and even work. They are comfortable in every climate and every activity. There is nothing these pants can't do. All of the colors are to die for and the pockets on the butt are very flattering. The flared leg allows for full range of motion, acts as light gaiters with shoes, and is very figure flattering. And now that there is a tech pant with a 36

I bought 3! I live in these pants

    • Size Bought: 10R

I bought my first pair 3 years ago, and now I have 3: gray, olive, and cocoa (more like brown with a touch of dark beet). Outdoor performance is fab: they have a touch of stretch, they are tough enough for the trail, and that DWR finish makes them great for most 3-season conditions. But best of all, they are comfortable, great-looking with a flattering fit. I'm 5'3, 148 and the 10R is perfect (although I hem 1.5in off the bottom). Drawstring waist means you'll never have awkward gapping at the back and you can make a customized fit. These are a total win!

    Regular length is NOT 32

    • Size Bought: 4 REG

The pants seem great, even if they run slightly large -- I would say they just have a bit more room than the typical skin tight Prana pant -- just what you want for hiking or outdoor activities. However, I sent them back because I am 5'8

    How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Place the tape measure under the arms and around the fullest part of your bust with arms raised slightly.
    Sleeve Length:
With arms slightly bent, measure from the center of your back neck, across your shoulder and down the outside of your arm to wrist bone.
Bend to the side and measure around the place where your waist bends, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of the hip.
Grab your favorite pair of jeans/pants. Measure the inseam of these pants starting at the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg (round to the nearest 1/2 inch).
