Structured neoprene body

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: M

This is a structured neoprene suit. I haven't gotten it wet yet, but it's quite thick and feels like it will stay in place. I like how Prana shaped the fabric in the bust to eliminate the uni-boob that typically happens with high-neck suits. I envision this being a nice piece to wear on cool apline reservoir swims and cold ocean surfs.

Great materials, awkward fit

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: M

I wanted to love this suit but it fit me a little awkward. I typically wear m/l bikini bottoms and a small top. I ordered this suit in a medium and the top portion was super baggy.

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I work at an adventure camp and am required to have a one piece for when I'm with the kids (usually I just opt for Pata baggies shorts and a fishing shirt but sometimes it's necessary). The neoprene is pretty great for jumping into cold water, they key pocket has the potential to be helpful. The compliments come rolling in on the pattern and it's fairly flattering. My biggest issue was being between sizes- a small fit my chest and waist but my bottom spilled out like a reverse muffin top. I opted for the medium because (a) booty, and (b) I don't really have much worry about the top being a little too big since it IS a one piece and isn't going to fall off. The loose fabric isn't the most flattering but hey, I'm not here to impress 12 year olds, just make them go backpacking. While I agree the piece is true to size, I HIGHLY recommend ordering two sizes to compare and count on shipping one back if you don't have matching proportions on top and bottom.

Good advice about ordering 2 sizes. I am having the same issue. I didn't read your post until after ordering/receiving item. The XS is slightly tight in the upper shoulders but I'm wondering if it'll stretch out with use.

Does it stretch out with wear/water/use?

Leslianne- it def stretches once it's wet. (Think how you have to soak a spray skirt before you try to pull it on a kayak). If it's snug and uncomfortable I'd go up, but I've not put enough hours in with it to attest to long term fabric stretching.

All ladies thank you for your detailed sizing help, with these suits, Devin. Cheers!

Perfect for Paddleboarding

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I got this suit for alpine lake adventures paddle boarding and cliff jumping and dang is this suit cute. The shaped neoprene in the bust eliminates the uni-boob that I normally get in high neck swimsuits. The key pocket is an especially nice feature. I think if I was a surfer it would be an even better selling point.

Perfect for Paddleboarding

Does it stretch out with wear/water/use? I'm in between 2 sizes--am 5'3" 111# and am trying to decide between the XS and S. Thanks!

Hey Leslianne,

I think the XS should fit but I'd love to compare your measurements to the chart before giving a 100% answer.

Unanswered Question

The picture of the orchid swimming suit has a different design near the chest than the picture of the suit on the model. Does each suit have different cuts of design?

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Chest:
Place the tape measure under the arms and around the fullest part of your bust with arms raised slightly.
Sleeve Length:
With arms slightly bent, measure from the center of your back neck, across your shoulder and down the outside of your arm to wrist bone.
Waist:
Bend to the side and measure around the place where your waist bends, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Hip:
Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of the hip.
Inseam:
Grab your favorite pair of jeans/pants. Measure the inseam of these pants starting at the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg (round to the nearest 1/2 inch).
