I have bought additional pairs of these prana pants and my son wanted a pair after trying mine on! light weight great for travel. versatile - I wear them out on the town and on the trail. slim and trim but very comfortable - the slight stretch seems to do it .. yeah color me a fan.

Stretchy

Great fit, a little tight on these runners thighs I got but doesn't lose mobility or flexibility.

    Great Pants!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I purchased a pair of these pants for a friend for Christmas. He has had nothing but great things to say about them. According to him, they are the most comfortable pants out there. I may end up buying a pair for myself.

    Awesome, comfortable pants

I bought these for a friend. They own two pairs and want more. Great everyday pants for any activity from the office, to traveling, to the climbing wall.

Improvement over the stretch Zions but..

If you want a more casual and urban look than the Zion, then look no further.
I go on rides and climb with these babies. My only complaint is that even though they are significantly less baggy than the Zions....they still kind of flap/flood at the ankles....but they're more do-able than the Zions! Perhaps they left some room for a more comfortable roll-up? I also wish that they've also bring over the cinching belt from the Zion.

These are great for Texas weather if that tells you anything about breathability in warmer climates.

I use these also on camping trips. The difference between Brion and the Zions is that I bring out the Brion when I'm around town, too.

    Best synthetic pants I've owned

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 30" x 32"

Prana does a fantastic job at balancing comfort and functionality of their products. I love the elasticity of the nylon/spandex material blend. I'm planning to order another pair soon (got the beige).

Less technical version of the Zion

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

So it goes without saying that the Zion is a) one of the most popular items on this site and b) that it is truly the best pant for climbing, camping, hiking, and anything outdoors (I love them for skating as well). However, my girlfriend has been claiming that my beloved Zions are "dad pants" and should not be worn in public. While I might disagree with her impressions of the Zion, the Brion is the perfect compromise between your typical chino and a technical climbing/hiking pant.

    Great all around pants!

I love these pants! I currently have 3 pair and wear them to the office and the climbing gym! They fit fairly well, but I wish they tapered down just a little bit at my ankle, as they feel a little baggy towards the cuff

Feel Like, but aren't Sweat Pants

Comfiest pants ever! Though not as slim as I'd like them, they are still amazing in a multitude of ways. The stretch material gives them a more relaxed feel but makes it easier to do squat. Water repellency is nice to have when you're prone to spilling cups of water. Just an all around nice pair of pants.

      solid!

solid pant, better more casual look from the stretch zion with the same material...slim fit up top bush the lower also was slim fit but still looks good

        Classic

Can't go wrong with these. The fit is great and they look like you could do just about anything in them!

        My Favorite Pants

Initially, the fabric sorta irritated my skin. It was a combination of how hairy my legs are and I guess all the synthetic material. But after several washes, hikes, etc, these are my favorite pants. They're slim but not too slim, stretchy but not too stretchy and surprisingly durable. I've probably put 100+ miles on trails in these and there is not a single loose thread. I love these pants and I will buy again if these ever fail me.

Give them time, break them in with a few washes and they'll treat you well.

Now if only they could make a thicker version for winter!!!

Thanks for this, Justin. It's really helpful for our community!

        Amazing

Great pants for hiking or around town, I picked up a pair a few years ago and have had many great adventures with them. They still look new and have been very durable. After 2 years of abuse. Very stretchy material that dry’s quick. I’m a 34 waist but bought a 36 so it fits a bit loose.

These pants have replaced jeans for me

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great pants hands down. Basically the style of jeans with the material of the stretch zion which means this is my absolute go to for work, business casual type situation, or climbing. The only pant I like better is the stretch zion.

        Hey Nick,

I am actually deciding between the stretch zion and the Brion. Aside from the side pocket, belt, and roll up snaps for the ankle whats the difference? Why do you like them better? Thanks in advance man!

        My go to pants

        • Size Bought: 34 X 32

These pants are my go to pants for just about everything. Doesn't matter if I'm heading into the office, the climbing gym, out hiking or just lounging around after dinner on a full stomach. These pants do it all. Stretchy and breathable with a modern cut and pocket arrangement to look good inside or out.

        Stretchy, comfortable, breathable

Great pair of pants. My friends call them my "Doctor pants". I can go anywhere with these thangs. Great for any casual occasion, you can rest assured that you will be ready for any minor recreation whether climbing, biking, walking home in a light rain, or hiking in warm temps. My only complaint is that the leg ends are a bit big. They're not wavy-flag big, but they're not the most flattering of cuts. I've got relatively big thighs and calves, and small ankles.

        My Favorite

The Brion pant is super comfortable, looks great, and can be worn for any occasion. Take them hiking, to work, or around town. These are my go to pants and I would recommend them to anyone.

        Great pant!

This is one of the most comfortable pants you can buy. It has tons of stretch and almost feels like you are wearing athletic shorts its so comfortable. I am 5'10 and I got a size 32X32. I wish I would have gotten a 32X30 because the 32 length is a bit long for me. Besides that, I really do love the pants and they are great for activities such as hiking, camping, or just going to work everyday. I would say these fit very true to size.

        Great Outdoor Pants

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought these recently to use camping, hiking, climbing, etc, and I have been very happy with them. The fit is slimmer than the regular Stretch Zion, (which can be baggy), the five pocket styling (i.e. built like a jean) is familiar and useful, and the material (Stretch Zion Fabric), can't be beat. These are great for the summertime, and for shoulder seasons, however, I wouldn't recommend wearing these in the winter as the material isn't very warm (which is AWESOME when it's warm outside).
