Good USA Selvedge, Lacking Some Details

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

I ordered the Pointer Brand Raw Cone White Oak Pants a size larger than I would in Levis, and got a good fit. The Cone selvedge denim feels medium-weight, almost flexible enough to feel stretchy, and is a bit brighter blue than some raw denim. The fit is on the slim side, and the triple stitching gives them a bold look. I like these jeans overall and pland to wear them until they fade, but I am concious of some details that are lacking compared to my favorite jeans. The hip pockets are a single unreinforced layer of denim, and are imperfectly stitched. The belt loops are tacked on instead of being set into the waistband. there is a fraying unfinished edge inside the fly. I want to wear denim of this quality for 2 or 3 years at least, and I'm not completely sure these are up to the task.

right style strange sizing

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

I love pointer brand stuff. This pair has triple stitching, thick durable denim, natural color, and the best part is the button fly.

The issue that I had with this pair is that they did not fit. I typically wear a 30 in every brand except a few that are typically too large. These pants where extremely tight. I could barely fit them over any part of my legs which is strange because I normally wear skinny jeans and I already have a pair of pointer branded jeans that fit really well in a size 30. I'm thinking about returning these and going up a size, but either way the original pair where just too tight.
