Shorts, meet tights.

POC's Multi D Women's Short Tights, are, technically speaking, shorts,  but we agree that "short tights" sounds more technical and the Multi D are certainly more advanced than your average cycling shorts.

Not only do they manage to combine an ergonomic four-panel design, supportive compressive fabric, and a breathable construction into one lightweight package, but they pack a women's-specific Multi D WO chamois in as well, giving you supreme comfort when you're in the saddle. The chamois has pre-cut, silicone-based VPDS inserts that provide anatomically-mapped support and top-class breathability, while the compressive fabric reduces muscle vibration to ward off fatigue and speed up recovery.

Silicone leg grippers keep the Multi D from riding up (the legs are slightly shorter than those of the Multi D WO Bib Shorts, incidentally), and a high rear waistband provides full coverage when you're in an aggressive riding position. POC also integrated a reflective print for added visibility in low-light conditions, so it won't be quite as hazardous if your ride keeps you out until twilight.

Comfy Cool

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

No complaints here. Very comfortable material, padding is great, stretch in all the right places, and breathable. Keep me comfy and cool the whole ride.

What is the inseam of these shorts?

Heaven in Shorts

  • Size Bought: XS

Apparently it is possible to love a pair of shorts this much- I had no idea. These are my first pair of bike shorts, and I don't think I could possibly go with anything else now, POC has ruined me!
To start, these are incredibly comfortable. I could wear them all day on the bike without any pain points. The bands are awesome and keep the shorts in place without being uncomfortably tight. The padding is divine- yes, it's really that good. And the fabric feels great against the skin and breathes wonderfully. Especially on the back! I also love the length. They are also SUPER durable- I've taken quite a few spills on some harsh trails and they keep me protected and don't get torn up.
As far as sizing goes they do fit pretty true to size. I have a 25-26in waist and an athletic build, have them skier legs. I got the XS and they're perfect. The band is a little tight on my quad but not uncomfortable in the slightest, I would prefer that they stay in place- hate when things ride up!
All in all, POC has done it again. 100% worth it, and they obviously make you ride real nice.

These were the perfect length, fit well and were comfortable over a long (100 +) ride the first time I wore them. Buying another pair.

    Not good for big legs

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Things that I liked: padding is awesome, the material is very breathable, and the overall quality is great.
Things that I didn't like: very strange fit for a cycling shorts. Run very loose around the hips/butt and very tight around the quads.
Go with Velocio if you have strong quads, they are more friendly towards the big legs build.
