A BPA-free hydration bladder for your hiking backpack.

You have a backpack and you'd love to stash a water reservoir with a drinking tube in it for quick, hands-free hydration on the trail. Grab the Platypus Hoser Hydration Bladder. Platypus made this reservoir with 100% BPA-free material, and added a SlimeGuard antimicrobial treatment to the inside so you won't end up with unidentified black bacteria camping out in your water bladder. The HyperFlow bite valve hooks you up to fast-flowing water, while the modular design fits into most backpack hydration sleeves.

    no leaks

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

great bladder, doesnt leak and ive used it several times. favorite bladder so far.

    Good quality

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

We hike often and haven't had any leaks! Appreciate the quality.

    Solid Performer

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Have bought multiple of these bladders for various size packs. This brand has consistent high quality bags, no issues for me. Recommend cleaning and drying them as soon as you get home, so no funk builds up in the bag.

    Simple Design

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Really glad that I picked up this Platypus bladder for my Grand Canyon trail run back in November! The 2L is a great choice for shorter hikes, or if you know you'll have water supply along the way. I typically recommend at least 3L on day hikes, but it's nice to have the different size options if you want to save weight. It was very easy to fill this bladder, and I loved that the nozzle is attached to the actual bottom of the bag so gravity gets you every single drop. The material feels like it would be flimsy, but I have had no concerns about it leaking or breaking even while running down some very rough terrain.

    No leaks!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Yay! I love this thing! It's a bladder. It holds water. Not sure what to say ...uhhh the blue hose matches my bag? It doesn't leak which is fantastic and I love the attached clip for my bag

Stayed sealed, easy to use, hard to fill

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm not sure what I'll do when I need to clean it, but it worked well for an extra bladder in a pack that didn't come with one. Didn't leak and flowed fine.

    nothing really that special

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

i wish it had a lock for the nozzle, it does do the job though!

    great product

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

So far this has been spot on, no leaks or problems and the 3L is a must

    Big fan

I’m a big fan of the platypus bottles. They’re lightweight, pack small, and I’ve had great luck with mine being very durable. I just recently picked up the 2L to stick in my bike frame back for bikepacking trips. It works great! All my others are going on several years of use, from the office to the Wind Rivers.

      What's up with this thing?

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Not sure if it's hit or miss whether you get a leaky one or not but mine leaks every time. I was excited about this because it is larger than my other bladders, and I keep trying it over and over, but it always leaks. Not a fan of a non-locking bite valve either. Always get water everywhere while trying to feed it out of backpacks.

      great bladder

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought the 3 Liter bladder for my pack and its been a go to on any trip. It has an easy squeeze mouth piece and has a nice clip feature that easily clips to my pack straps so I don't have to go searching for the hose.

      Super thin

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Returned this before using it, because the material was so thin. I've had hydration bladders leak before, and I didn't want to take the risk with something that felt like glorified plastic wrap.

      Great for water filter use

this thing works perfect for filling from a water filter. Just attach a quck disconnect or take off the mouth piece and attach filter, pump, drain, or squeeze (depending on filter) the water in until full. I chose a setup that saved me both weight and money, here it is.

Platypus Big lip 2L (filter bag/dirty water)
        Sawyer mini water filter
        Platypus Hoser 2L (clean water)

        Total cost $80
Total weight 11.1oz less if you take out the extras for filter

I fully trust in platypus's systems and warranty, as well as these reviews which seem accurate. All great reviews besides a couple people that got a defect and can easily swap out for a working one, or exchange it right here on backcountry because there awesome too!!

        Light and durable

I was initially hesitant about this, but it has proven the test of time. I use it on bike rides and short hikes

          My Go To bladder

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have this in the 2L for my trail run pack and a 3L for my hiking daypack and it has never let me down. Easy to use, light, easy to clean, and the hose works well. Have never had any leaks and fits in all packs I have put it in.

          Hasn't let me down

I've taken this out on several trips, stored in my osprey pack. So far, it's done the trick!

            Faulty when delivered

            • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This bag split open along the side the first time I attempted to fill it. It appears that the seam wasn't properly bonded when manufactured.

            I like it.

I bought 2 of theses for a 2 day hike. Both worked well. no leaks, no problems. hose is a nice length, not too short not too long. No frills here, just a basic water sack, which is really all you need.

              • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This bag leaks at the cap. Had a whole bag leak in my trunk getting all my gear wet. Pass on this one folks.

              Where are these made?
