A bootstrap maverick.
Whether you're something of a radical searching for the meaning of life, or simply a wandering soul who prefers the company of sagebrush and horses, the Pendleton Men's Maverick Merino Shirt offers classic style despite your hard-wearing ways. Based off of Pendleton's iconic Field Shirt, the Maverick features a timeless button-down design, while the merino wool fabric wicks away moisture and offers covert warmth. Not to mention, that same merino wool fabric is woven in the United States, and the slim fit assures a suave look.

- Q & A
product arrived with a hole in it
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought: XL
The shirt seems nice... The cut is quite long, ending below my butt, and I'm 6'5" tall. The sleeves are adequate for my long arms, but i wouldn't say generous. It's noted as being cut fitted, but still has a loose fit on me (185 pounds).
This is still a far better cut than Fjallraven's XL shirts, which tend to be far too narrow in the shoulders (and i'm not even that wide), and too short of arm (Fjallraven jackets fit much better, it's just their shirts).
The material is beautiful (see the closeup photo).
The product arrived damaged, with a hole in the front. 3/5 for the disappointing damage.
Nice shirt but shrinks
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs small
Received the shirt, very well made, fit great when I first got it. Wore it about six times, professionally dry cleaned each time. Shirt shrunk to a point where it is unwearable. The length of the shirt as well as the width looks like it has been reduced a full size. Too bad because otherwise it is really a nice quality shirt. If you're going to buy this, probably best to buy one size up.
Best shirt I own
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Large
It says slim-fit, but for some reason it works for my bigger shoulders/chest (in a large). It's soft, non-itchy, but not too warm for wearing indoors. I wish they had more colors. It seems very well-made, and merino wool functions as advertised--I've worn mine maybe 10 full days and it doesn't smell a bit. The absolute only downside is that this shirt is NOT machine washable, like Smartwool stuff is.
